Be in no doubt, this is a great wee place to stay in, although it is quite compact there is enough room for two people with cycling kit (and cycles) to use as a base to explore the surrounding area (Argyll and Bute), comfortably (singles & couples).
Through-out the property (kitchen/bathroom/living/sleeping areas) the facilities are modern, clean, and user friendly. The location (opposite the pier head) has to be mentioned, both during the day and night you get great views from the living room window which looks right across the lochs, where watching ferries, cargo boats and even the odd submarine slowly cruise past your window can be quite relaxing whilst eating your lunch!.
The owners, Stephen and Sylvia, were present upon our arrival, showed us around the property advising on how the shower/heating/kitchen appliances etc. all worked, which eased us into a great week's holiday here at the Old Post Office, Blairmore. I must also mention the neighbours as well, who came to our rescue in finding a local man who could fix an issue with one of the mountain bikes. So instead of an hour+ round trip to the local bike shop we drove 4 miles up the road where it was fixed almost instantly, and in a friendly and helpful way!.
Best way to sum up this place?, go and stay there, see for yourself, I don't think you will be disappointed.

We came upon this Studio by chance and are glad we did. It was spotless and had everything in it for a comfortable stay. The owners were charming . The location was lovely and the views beautiful. It was a perfect place to come "home" to after our daily jaunts.

The studio apartment is beautiful - everything one needs is at hand and the view is perfect. Scottish weather may not always be what we want, but the holiday rental is. Having grown up in this area, I feel blessed to have an apartment I can feel comfortable living in for a few weeks - cooking my own food, getting up when I want and being independent of others.
The owners are beautiful people who have supplied holiday makers with their perfect 'home from home' . Patricia G

I chanced upon Blairmore PO while looking for another property. The owner showed me around and immediately I walked in I asked if it was booked that week - I hadn't intended to stay from that visit but it was so tempting I wanted it to be mine straight away. It's bijou, with double bed and two smart comfy recliners, TV, WiFi, etc in the front room which used to be the PO. Behind is a very well equipped kitchen and shower room. The whole apartment is completely renovated and remade to a high modern standard. The sturdy old post office doors with major locks and bolts are the only clues to its previous life, which add to the ambience. Everything worked, everything was scrupulously clean, lots of towels and cleaning equipment, laundry facilities etc. The view across the water is fabulous and the drive around from Dunoon is breathtaking. The owners could not have been more helpful but were not overbearing or always present, however contactable day and night if required, which it was not. HIghly recommended and I intend to stay each time I'm in the area.

Cozy & extremely well equipped self-contained little apartment / holiday flat. Great value for money. Many plus points: very friendly & helpful owners (but not intrusive), who own the gallery & coffee shop a few doors down. Great loch side location with easy & safe/secure parking. Quality comfortable bed, TV & Wi-Fi, great little separate well equipped kitchen & shower room. Only tried heating 1 night, but being mid-summer heating wasn't necessary. However, heating was very good, so should be very warm & toasty even in mid-winter. Great for a base to travel around the West Coast & Trossachs. Lots of great places to visit include Benmore Arboretum, Pucks Glen & Kilmun Arboretum all close by, and Crarae Gardens / Arboretum in Inverary. The Coylet Inn a few miles north of Bemore is a great little friendly traditional pub serving good tasty food. Reasonable choice of Co-op or Morrison's supermarkets in nearby Dunoon, and basic groceries can be got at the Cot House petrol station at the junction of the Blairemore road as it meets the main Dunoon road, breakfast at the on-site cafe is pretty good too if you want a traditional Scottish fry-up, or try the fantastic bacon rolls & coffee at the little cafe in Benmore Gardens. Had a fantastic month here, would happily recommend & hopefully will return again.
