Steve knows how to support local music. It's sad because in our area gateway to New England a fusion of culture this guy takes the risk of keeping not one venue but 3 available for locals of all ages. Also puts out some good chow. Hats off to the Space, Outerspace and the Ballroom for keeping the local scene alive. Stop in if you are in the area it's worth it.

Visited the Outer Space on 10/14/16 to hear The Mooks, a local band from Newington. Had a great time. Club was pretty full. Patio outside and the music was great!!

Saw The record Company here. Funky, small, hot venue. Good sound this night but I think that depends on the band. Bar in ballroom plus a separate bar plus a patio with free music for happy hour. In an industrial park. Not fancy at all. Good beers

The Space is an all ages venue where musician Steve Rogers hosts all ages live shows featuring great acts doing original music. Steve also puts on shows at his over 21 club called the Outer Space and a bigger club called the Music Hall that hosts bigger national acts and all three clubs share the same parking lot. Lots of great music in a safe place with plenty of free parking on Treadwell street off if Dixwell Avenue on Hamden. Escape the electronic world and listen, see and interact with the way music should be heard, live at Steve Rogers Three club Music venues.

The last Tuesday of the month, given busy schedules, we join our friends to experience a truly fun Blue Grass group who prompts us to hoot 'n holler, clap and stamp to traditional Blue Grass music, sometimes corny jokes, while we savor the good food and craft beers. It's a small area, you reserve your table, and there you are. The group plays a set, passes the "hat," and plays another, ending around 9:30-10:00 p.m. It's worth a look and listen for anybody who loves great fiddle, bass, banjo and guitar, conviviality, good blue burgers and interesting brew.
