Wonderful food. Wonderful service. Get a small- you'll probably still have leftovers. I couldn't have been happier with this restaurant (unless we were able to eat there more).

the portions are generous and the food is tasty.
Service is a little slow, but I have come to expect this from young people these days.

Restaurant is small, parking is hard to find, sometimes the wait is long. . . . .but it is well worth it! They make their own pasta, so every dish is fresh. You can watch it being cut and prepared through the window while you wait outside to be seated. We have gone several times and they have always been busy. On our last visit I had the house salad with creamy garlic dressing which was very good. Then came the Fettucine Ragu which was excellent. My husband had their lasagna which he loves and my son and daughter-in-law split both a lasagna and the Chicken Alfredo dishes because they couldn't decide which to order. They said both dishes were excellent. Prior to that they had the Antipasto Salad which they said was great. If you are visiting Groton you don't want to miss this popular place. . . . Just be sure to come hungry!

Came here with a new sailor and family for a late lunch - nice portion sizes, even when ordering "small" entrees. As another reviewer noted, large portions of simple food. Nothing fancy about this place, just a small restaurant on the Thames River (and Thames Street) that serves good food at a fair price. Four of us ate for $44 (without alcohol) and didn't need dinner later. Definitely will return!

Paul's Pasta makes all their pasta fresh daily. And it shows in the quality of their food. The sauces and combinations are pretty standard fare, and the salads are unremarkable.

But, the pasta is really outstanding. I highly recommend the clams and white wine on fettuccine.
