I stayed with my elderly parents and young son and had a wonderful time. The rooms were large and clean and all the staff, from front-desk to wait staff, were attentive, worked quickly and were helpful. The lobby is huge and we enjoyed sitting and having a drink there. Small health club but nice sized indoor pool and less than a 10 minute drive to downtown Mystic

Thank you for your generous overview of our beautiful hotel. We take great pride in our commitment to excellence in every detail and are thrilled that we exceeded your expectations. I appreciate you taking the time to share your excellent experience as our staff really is committed to ensuring each guest is treated as if they were the only guest in the hotel.

As you mentioned, our lobby does make a wonderful place to sit, relax and enjoy a cocktail. We recently finished changing the furniture in the lobby and extending the Octagon Lounge out into our Great Room. This gives our guests a wonderful welcome from the start of their stay that continues through the end. We find that many guests now use this as a gathering place to meet with family, friends and colleagues so they can kick back and relax while visiting the Mystic Marriott Hotel & Spa.

Once again thank you for your feedback regarding your stay. It is feedback from guests such as yourself that keeps us current with our quality standards. On behalf of the entire Mystic community, we look forward to your return visits to the area.

Kind regards,
Michael D. Allen

Stayed at the Mystic Marriott (located in Groton by the way) in order to visit Mohegan Sun on a Saturday nite. The hotel situated a minute off I-95 so its convenient to drop off and on the main highway. Mohegan is about 20 mins away, and easy to get to and come back.

Upon entering the hotel, you'll notice a very spacious lobby, with a Starbucks, a pool, and an Elizabeth Arden Spa on the main floor along with several conference rooms. The premises were clean and very well cared for throughout the hotel.

Our room was a decent sized Marriott room. The room was clean, but the bed was not very comfortable, and it looks like the room could have used some more pillows as they were not fluffy at all. The bathroom was an ok size, but the shower head wasn't adjustable and didn't have a whole of water pressure. There was also a $10 fee to use the internet, which is a pet peave of mine in this day and age. Plus, if all the Residence Inns (lower brand) can offer free internet access, why can't Marriott hotels.

The biggest negative of the room was the paper thin walls. . We can hear the children in the next room easily, along with anyone walking up and down the halls. And of course, we definitely heard the children bounce a ball off their wall a few times, which almost knocked off the mirror in our room.

We were able to take advantage of the pool and the whirlpool. Fortunately, the hotel actually had adult only hours, which everyone in the hotel obliged by, except for one family. Of course, those children had to make up for all the other children not in the pool by constantly splashing water everyone. Not the hotel's fault though..

If it werent for the thin walls, the hotel would have been rated a little higher, that's for sure. It's a shame, because the property is a nice one throughout and offers its guests alot.

Thank you for your feedback regarding your September stay with us. I appreciate that you took time to reflect on all the amenities you enjoyed during your stay. As mentioned, our hotel is conveniently located off of I-95 and we do have many wonderful amenities to offer our guests. Some of these amenities are Starbucks, Red Door Spa by Elizabeth Arden, an indoor pool and over 20,000 square feet of flexible meeting space all located on the first floor.

I am glad you had the opportunity to enjoy our indoor pool and whirlpool. These areas do have adult swim times which many of our guests, such as yourself, take time to enjoy while staying at our beautiful property.

I very much value and appreciate your patronage and am glad that the Mystic Marriott was your venue of choice while in Groton. We very much look forward to your return visit to the Mystic Marriott.

With Kind Regards,
Michael D. Allen

We went to mystic for a qick weeked getaway and when looking for a place to stay I was shocked at the lack of decent places to stay. I went with the advice on tripadvisor and was very pleased. The place is clean, attractive, with amenities (RED DOOR SPA!) a decent indoor pool. It's also very close to mystic, mohegan sun, etc. All at rates similar to budget chains in mystic itself.

Thank you for your recent posting of feedback on Tripadvisor.com. So often I respond to guests who have been to our beautiful property but not as often to guests who use Trip Advisor as their means of choosing the best hotel. It is wonderful to know that you followed the recommendations of previous guests and had the same exceptional experience. At the Mystic Marriott Hotel & Spa we strive for consistency and excellence.

Your experience demonstrates our commitment to quality and the many positive postings we have on Trip Advisor is evidence that we offer superior customer service.

We have stayed at many Marriott properties but this one certainly stands out. From the moment we checked in you felt a sense of calm and the Service folks paid attention to details. Both Crystal and Lisa were particularly extremely helpful, we truly appreciate both of them.
Lisa, your resturant suggestion and choice was fantastic!

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback regarding your stay at the Mystic Marriott Hotel & Spa this summer. It is wonderful to know that our guests think we stand out from other Marriott properties. We pride ourselves in striving for perfection daily and it is great to know our efforts have been noticed. I will certainly share all of your wonderful comments with Crystal and Lisa at our front desk.

As you experienced our staff is very knowledgeable regarding our local area. We make it a priority that if guests choose not to dine at our award winning Octagon Steakhouse we consistently provide them with quality recommendations. We have been to every area restaurant and attraction we recommend.

Recently stayed at The Marriott (over Mohegan) while in CT for a show. As with most Marriott hotels, Mystic was phenomenal!!! The service was superb and Red Door Spa was amazing. I had a couples massage with Rich and (sadly I can't remember the woman's name). Rich was FANTASTIC!!! I'd recommend him to EVERY woman I know. His hands were soft when they needed to be as well as hard when neccessary (smile). Overall I enjoyed my stay at Mystic Marriott. Rooms were clean and spacious and I have not one bad thing to say.

Thank you for your positive feedback regarding the superb service you recently received at the Mystic Marriott Hotel & Spa. We are glad that you found Mystic to be, as you described. “a phenomenal place to visit.” We are just a 5 minute drive from downtown Mystic which has so much historic significance as well as the Aquarium, the Mystic Seaport and so much else to offer. Some of which we are proud to provide discounted tickets to, for example the Aquarium and Seaport.

The Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa is an attraction right here on property. Thank you for sharing your experience during your recent couples massage. A massage can relax your body and mind, increase circulation, minimize muscle aches and relieve stress.

I’m glad you enjoyed your time at the Mystic Marriott Hotel & Spa and had the opportunity to experience the superior service we provide. We look forward to welcoming you again soon.
