Spend a week every two month at Marriott Mystic, and saw the all thing going south. People have changed, not as clean, just not the old good experience I was used to.
Service at the bar and restaurant went from great to average...
Breakfast used to be fantastic, but not the case anymore...

Very nice hotel! We were part of a large wedding block of rooms and had amazing service. The accommodations are excellent and the staff handled a very full and busy weekend with grace. It's proximity to touristy things is fine if you know your way around. We would definitely stay there again.

With a name like Mystic Marriott one would think you would be in Mystic. We were hopeful that we would be close when we realized the physical address was Groton. Unfortunately, it was not within walking distance of anything! Had to take car, should have done more research. Otherwise, it was fine. Nice staff, clean, all things you expect from Marriott brand. I would probably not stay there again if I wanted to visit Mystic, though.

Very good hotel. Excellent support staff. The managers were terrific especially Nemas. he deserves a raise. We stayed at this hotel for a baseball tournament. There was hundreds of kids running around, at least 2 weddings, and numerous proms staying at this hotel all weekend and the staff was professional and friendly. The hotel was nice and quiet as well even with all that was going on. I like the signs on all the floors asking and demanding for quiet during sleeping hours!! The bar staff was great, and the buffet waiters and staff were top notch. It was hectic, but the team at this hotel was first class.

Room Tip: Stay on a top floor

I surprised my sister on her fiftieth birthday with a weekend getaway. Chose the Marriott because we wanted to have spa treatments and since it was a short distance from Mohegan Sun in case we wanted to visit the casino. Upon checking in we had a slight mixup with the wrong credit card being charged. I brought it to the front desk mgrs. .(her name was Elizabeth) attention and she was quick to reverse it. She was also very helpful in helping me to print certificates for the spa. I appreciated the fact that she truly cared about her guest's satisfaction. We went to Mohegan Sun, came back to the room and we very pleasantly surprised to find a lovely cheese and fruit tray with a bottle of wine waiting for us together with a note from the mgr. This was a lovely gesture and some of the best service I have experienced in a hotel. The next morning we went down to the restaurant to have breakfast, they were very busy and we were at first surprised to see Elizabeth clearing tables. I say at first because this is something you usually won't see. In thinking about it I realized that I shouldn't have been surprised, she just was doing what she could as part of a team to provide the guest's with a better experience in the restaurant. The weekend Birthday celebration was made far more pleasant than we might have expected, spa treatments were great and the food in the restaurant was very good. Service can be very hard to find these days but certainly it can be found at this hotel. Thanks Liz! We will be back.

Walking into the Marriott Mystic was indeed a pleasurable experience for us. The lobby is spacious, inviting, and upscale. But when we made out way to our room on the second floor we found a room with a view of a tarmac roof. we were not impressed. our thoughts of the room worsened, however, when we found that each of the beds each had massive sinkholes in the middle of them; the mattresses had zero support. Then, after we'd all managed to fall asleep, we find ourselves awoken at 6 AM because of light streaming into the room through a gap in the curtains (picture below). We were not pleased. Then, to make matters worse, the shower wouldn't drain, so by the time the water was hot, there was two inches of water in the shower. And finally,we found hair along the edge of the tub. As the title says, you'll love the lobby, but have no expectations for the room or you'll be disappointed
