The Homestead Inn is a take on teh European concept of attaching a nice small hotel to a high-end restaurant. We booked it for a one-night getaway from Manhattan, and it was a good choice. After our lovely meal we were happy to get to our well-appointed room. The staff are very welcoming, and you could see that the connection between restaurant and hotel was seamless. The style is eclectic. For a feel, you should imagine the nicest B&B you have ever stayed at, and add some luxurious touches. Everything one would expect of a nice hotel room was available. The sound insulation was surprisingly good. The only downside was the (plush) bed slept a bit hot, so we had to spend a bit of work tossing off all the sheets and covers and cranking up the AC on a hot summer night.
Overall, I'd recommend this hotel for a romantic getaway with outstanding food..More
