The previous reviews of this restaurant are quite strange. First, the picture on your site is not the diner, at 69 East Putnam Avenue. Also, its name changed to the Glory Days diner several years ago, raising questions as to whether the reviewers have even been there. As to the food and ambiance, it's a diner, not a high end restaurant. in my numerous visits there, the portions have been ample, and generally good, and the staff has been friendly. It has many large and comfortable booths, where it is possible to have a relaxed and unhurried conversation.

Dim lights, food right out of the freezer and a creepy clientele. I wish I could be more positive but I can't. Sorry guys.

The breakfast burrito I ordered tasted unfresh and not thoroughly cooked. The chicken pieces were too big and had gristle (hard fat) on some of them. The onions throughout were totally raw and I bit into some unexpected egg shell pieces which gave a shock to one of my teeth. All in all, it looked like the cook had haphazardly thrown it all together without taking any real care in making sure the individual ingredients were cooked properly first. Also, the Spanish rice that came with the burrito tasted like it was sitting around all day and was barely warm. My disappointment did not end in the diner, but continued about 1 hour later, when I began to experience SEVERE STOMACH DISCOMFORT and ABDOMINAL PAIN. This continued for several hours after leaving the diner and is still occurring as of the writing of this review. Upon finally mustering up the energy to locate the number of Greenwich Colonial Diner on the internet, my phone call there resulted in no satisfaction whatsoever. There was no manager or owner present to talk to and I was told by the waitress that I would have to call tomorrow and speak to someone else. Needless to say, it was a thoroughly disappointing encounter with the Greenwich Diner
