Mother's Day is the best reason I could think of to stay put, cook at home. We were a party of eight on the busiest day of the restaurant year. Not an issue at all with Max! We were seated right away. Host greeted us with a “we are expecting you and setting a table right now” (Nice) Server was on it all the way throughout the service; food was promptly served and was excellent. We had oysters, friend calamari, lobster rolls, crab cakes, Mahi, Cobb salads, and Monk Fish. My monk was wrapped in Serrano ham and very well prepared. I usually do not fall for the “truffled” Mac and Cheese, but I did and I’m glad! Try it! Max is a good reason to move to Glastonbury, Conn. Well done and highly recommended.

I am writing this review not because this place has great food. Everyone already knows this. I went there this week on Mother's day with my wife, daughter, and 5 year old grandson. He has a severe food allergy (milk protein) so we have to be careful with not only the food but the prep process. The waiter and floor manager were more than accommodating in putting together a nice meal that he could eat and assured us that the chef was being very attentive.

This may seem like a small detail to most but it separates the good places from the great places.

Of course our food and service was above average as usual. Highly recommended.

It is a great restaurant, but it is expensive and really hard to get seating. Unless, of course you make reservations a week in advance. I love it though, because they have amazing food and excellent service.

Me and my fiancé LOVE this place. We come for happy hour 430-6pm adn sit at the oyster bar. there is no better way to end the day with fresh shucked oysters, at least 10 different kinds, and a great beer from tap, again at least 10 different kinds. The waitstaff is wonderful at creating a good dining experience.

We had the opportunity to eat at Max Fish on a recent Saturday night. What a pleasure!. The restaurant is located in a mall in Glastonbury. Ct. There are no views to speak of. The fun begins as soon as you enter. We chose to eat at the bar. It was packed. A mix of thirty somethings, business types and seniors out on the town. There is a happy hour every day. Specials are really great. Drinks are properly made and the bartenders are great. You cannot go wrong no matter what you choose.
