“eclectic eatery if you've got a little time”
Reviewed July 16, 2012

stopped here with about 20 friends (motorcycle ride into the northwestern CT hills) and enjoyed the eclectic atmosphere and interesting deli food offerings...but, only one person was preparing food and it took over 45minutes to get everyone served... a little slow is not adequate to capture it. The food was great though and I'd return (as long as I'm in a small group).

“Fun, local place”
Reviewed July 7, 2012

The Toymaker is one of those fun places that all the locals go to. The food is great and you never feel rushed. My only complaint is that there is only one chef, who is also an owner, and food is cooked as ordered, which means that the first person at the table may be finished eating by the time the others get their food. Still worth a visit.

“A CT Motorcyclist's Lunch Destination”
Reviewed April 9, 2012

If you're in to antique motorcycles and really good burgers - this is a place for you. Our motorcycle club regularly frequents Toymakers and are never disappointed. Every time we go, there's many other motorcyclists and good food and conversation to be had. Plus it's also located in Falls Village, a charming little town in the NW corner of CT - an area filled with some of the best riding in the State. A very eclectic place - an old house, with a tremendous barn i the back that houses some antique european motorcycles in various stages of repair - if you're lucky, the owner will take you in for a peek!

“A breakfast treat!”
Reviewed March 29, 2012

This is the place to go for the best breakfasts in the area! Their waffles are heavenly, as if everything else I've ever eaten there. Never had a bad meal. The ambiance is typical of a tiny New England village, with seating at large, shared tables, so if you don't know anyone when you arrive, you will when you leave!

“Excellent coffee, marvellous waffles”
Reviewed November 21, 2011

Toymakers cafe is great - the gluten free waffles are delicious, as are the 'regular' pancakes, muffins or if you just want a bagel and peanut butter. My husband loved (as well as the coffee and delights mentioned above) the mountains of car and bike magazines to read over breakfast.
