the train ride was just ok. scenic views were fair. seats a bit uncomfortable.
the boat ride was more pleasant with good narration.
much too long a ride for young children.

This is just a perfect attraction in the summer. In the fall there is foliage train ride and in the winter Norh Pole Express with Santa and Mrs. Santa on board. We live in CT and love to do it every year.

The train ride is great, especially for a toddler. But even adults can appreciate the experience. Station itself is runner down, except for the typical gift store. We wish they could find funds to fix the museum inside.

We arrived to ride the train. Was happy to see the steam engine was running only to see them switching the steam engine to deisel. What a disappointment ,but I know and realize with steam engines they can break down.So we boarded and off we went to get our boat ride.Trip down to boat was nice and scenic and smooth. At end of line we got off train to go onto boat.Boat ride on river was awesome with alot of great scenery.Boat crew and train crews were great and friendly. Both rides are relaxing and once on boat and we got moving you were allowed to go to the upper deck. The served drinks and food on boat ,which we were glad they had hot chocolate since it was chilly out.Once boat ride was done we re boarded train and headed back to station.Prices were well worth it .

Train ride was fun - book early if you want the "First Class" nicer seating car - we had the open window car which was fine but breezy on the trip back. The boat cruise seemed like a great option - but our trip was more like a bad day @ daycare as multiple little kids were yelling / running / fighting / screaming while parents sat back & ignored them - wasn't able to hear narration & was really disruptive - couldn't wait to get off of that boat - yikes!!
