I drive to Vermont every year from Virginia and Connecticut makes a great place to take a break from driving. I have driven by this exit several times and wished that I had stopped here. The Hampton Inn's complimentary WI-FI, free breakfast, pool, hot tub and reasonable price combine with the shopping possibilities and multiple restaurants (if you can name a major chain of either, it is probably nearby) to make this a great place even for a one night stay. The staff was more than willing to take time to answer questions, give directions, recommendations, etc. and the room was everything I wished for.

The staff was friendly. The hotel was clean and well maintained. Adjusting the temperature in the room was easy. The breakfast that was included with our stay tasted great and it was freshly made each day. It was a very nice hotel for our family occasion.

I wish your stay was longer although I am glad you had a positive experience while staying at the Hampton Inn, Springfield South, Enfield, CT. The Hampton breakfast has been fine tuned over the years and we offer over 60 items for free each day. It is a great start to any day.

Stayed here a couple of times for quick work trips, and had great experiences.

Pros:
Quiet hotel
Comfortable rooms
Friendly staff
Best hotel in the area - we've tried a few and this is by far the best

Cons:
No bar in lobby - but if you troop across the lot to the Longhorn you'll be in business!

Thank you for commenting about the Hampton Inn-Enfield, CT on TripAdvisor. I am pleased you found the Hampton to be the nicest hotel in the area. I am glad you went to the new Longhorn Steakhouse located in our parking lot. It is just a 60 second walk to get over there. The bar is very popular with our guests as they do not have to drive there and back.

we chose this for a 6 flags trip...great NEW hotel. lots of food options in area. it's about 10 to 15 minutes to 6 flags and you don't have to get on 91. go left/over bridge/go right - it's down the street. there is a nice indoor pool/hot tub. there are showers in lobby bathrooms so you can shower before/after pool and/or after 6 flags. breakfast is good. yogurt/fruit/make your own waffles/etc. THE STAFF IS AMAZING - willing to do anything for you! very friendly and professional. room is good size. nice shower - but it had drain problems...great BAR (not dispenser) soap. nice name brand shampoo and conditioner. very clean overall. ample parking. would gladly stay here again. we stayed w/ 2 ad and 2ch - room size was fine. beds comfortable. lots of pillows on bed - yeah! (they were a bit too soft for our comfort though).
seems like very catered to business crowd - so upscale, quiet, etc.
the only BIG minus: no fridge in room - these days, that is almost always a staple. we thought it was strange. good tv clock radio docking station for charging. very happy w/ stay

I appreciate the time you spent posting your comments on TripAdvisor. The staff is dedicated to ensuring our guests have a great stay. I am so glad you appreciated their efforts. We are the closest hotel to Six Flags New England. It is just five miles away. Every bed at Hampton has four pillows on them (two foam and two feather), Please let us know the next time you stay and we can put more in the room for you. We do have eight studio suites that have refrigerators and microwaves in them. If you are in a room without one, check at the desk, we do have 15 portable ones we can put in rooms. Hopefully you can come back to Six Flags New England and stay with us. We also sell discount Six Flags tickets at our front desk. Safe travels-
