We needed one night over Turkey Day weekend and this was the cheapest place that was acceptable. The best price I found was on the AARP site, by the way. Anyway, I would stay here again in a pinch for one night, but that's it. We checked in which was not a problem since I went through AARP, but my husband had to return to the front desk 3 times because the key wouldn't work. Not a good start. The room was remodeled and was clean and the bedding was very good. They actually had a fitted sheet on the mattress which was a pleasant suprise because lately we have been finding that in most other hotels they use straight sheets and you have to remake the bed when you try to get into the bed. The rug pattern had a light shade incorporated in the pattern so you could see that the rug was not dirty.
Downside--no fridge. No real closet, just an alcove to hang things. Remodeled bathroom had a vanity that had no room to set much. The granite vanity top had marks where they were going to cut for the basin, but it was an error so they just filled in with grout. Looked bad. There was no toilet paper holder. Flat screen was OK, but they advertised free HBO but we couldn't find it. Picture was bad because they didn't have a digital feed. I tried to get into the pool area, and I would have to go to the front desk for them to let me in. After I saw the rest of the common area, I didn't even try the pool. There is an abandon resturant in the back of the building. In the front of the building is an abandon bar/nightclub that they provide "continental breakfast" and I use that loosely. First of all, there were no lights on in this area. Second, there were electric floor heaters on in the area, so they had the heat turned off. Thirdly, the breakfast was a joke. Nothing hot, just juice, coffee, cereal and the obligitory bagels, E. Muffins, toast, etc. Everything was sort of thrown on a few long tables in this dark room with floor heaters. Seriously?
I have stayed at hotels worse than this but it was just the dumb stuff like all the doorways having nicked up paint, the marks in the vanity top and the rust stain in the toilet that looked like a permanent skid mark that took off points with me.

Room Tip: Ask for a even numbered room. They are on the quieter parking lot side. The odd numbered rooms are o...

The hotel was sold as being recently updated. Although the rooms had been updated, and were nice, the rest of the hotel was filthy. Dirty hallway carpets and gross smells from sewage to mustiness to stale cigarettes that the staff thought a carpet deodorizing spray would resolve. My room was nice, but not cleaned well at all. Housekeeping did not vacuum, leave adequate clean towels, and they must have sprayed a disinfectant on the bathroom floor, then left it. It was so sticky!! The workout room was in disarray. The 'free' breakfast was a joke compared to what competitors such as Hampton Inns provide.

Very modern...comfy beds, kind and helpful staff. Free, convenient breakfast. Need more than one toaster though for so many guests. Coffee was delicious! check out was fast and easy.
