I am a season ticket holder and enjoy my three shows every year. It is theater the way it used to be. Not the fanciest, not the most modern but still, it is highly enjoyable and has a great location on the CT River.

We saw the last show of Carosel. The performers were excelent as other reveiwers have stated. The theater itself was very comfortable and well restored. The views of the CT river from the bar were also enjoyable.

Shows here are always wonderfully produced. A big show with a small warm theater feel. Also the view from the theater is gorgeous especially in the winter after a snowfall

Recently saw "Carousel" at the Goodspeed. It was overall excellent performance. The leads are Broadway quality (in fact the female lead start as Elphaba on Broadway and onto her). The male lead had a very strong, high quality baritone voice. His performance of Soliloquy rival that of Gordon McRaeAnd Frank Sinatra. The small, intimate nature of the theater makes any seat in the house a great seat, and acoustics are wonderful. This is a theater and show not to be missed, keeping up with the high quality and standards of the Goodspeed Opera House.

Every spring we check out the schedule of musicals and plays and it's really hard to pick just one to see. This year we went to see "Carousel" which was fabulous, and we also went to the Norma Terris Theatre in May for a premier production of a musical that I could easily see going on to Broadway.
