The ambiance of the dining room, near the fireplaces, is best, especially on a cold autumn or winter night. The beef and fish are tasty, though the filet mignon is not my favorite. Too chewy. The prime rib is usually very good and not overly fatty. The salad bar offers a wide variety of salad makings and dressings. The freshly baked bread at the salad bar is delicious. There is often a choice of white and/or rye. The wine selection is average. Everything is a la carte.
