The atmosphere is very nice. The tables are not on top of each other so you have privacy. The food was prepared as ordered and the portions were perfect for us. The service was excellent. It is an upscale restaurant and the prices reflect this fact. we would eat here again.

Really super steakhouse, the cuts themselves are right up there with the much more expensive prestigious chains. Nice complement of seafood dished, bass, scallops, salmon, and some terrific fresh Atlantic oysters. Greeted by the owner at the door, attentive service, perhaps not as expert on the menu as some of the pricier places, but also not pretentious. Didn't get to enjoy it, but seemed like an awfully nice bar area as well. If you are in the area, highly recommend the Black Angus.

I have patronized this restaurant a few different times, each time with pleasant results. Tommy B. (an owner) almost always pleasurably greets you at the door (if he's not on the floor providing special service with other patrons)... I appreciate and feel the service at the Black Angus is first-rate, from the owner… to the wait staff, and even the busboys! The menu, as the name implies, is meat-centric, but there are enough additional choices to meet almost all palates (fish & salads). I've never chosen an entree that disappoints. Most recently, my friends and I ordered off the superbly varied menu of appetizers and entrees, including beef, lamb, and an awesome halibut. Each entree was cooked, prepared, and presented perfectly. The ala Carte “for two” sides are sizable and delicious. The dessert selections look great, but we were all satiated and had to regretfully decline.
Now the shortcoming… along with an excellent menu comes appropriately higher prices. With a split appetizer, two entrees, two sides, and a cocktail and cappuccinos each, the bill was about $140 per couple… not too bad for many urban environments, but in Danbury this is steeper than most. I really hope the local economy will support this restaurant, as I am willing to pay a little more to get more.
The Black Angus has a great cocktail lounge…comfortable, casual, and an usually active bar scene. The daily happy hours offer half prices apps and a bar menu that reduces the restaurant prices to quite acceptable levels.
I strongly recommend this restaurant… it is quickly becoming one of my favorites.

Super fine ambiance, great staff, on the noise side, but you are in heaven as soon as you bite into your Angus burger, cooked to a perfect medium point, and the fries were out of this world!

Came here 2 days in a row for the price fix menu. I was in town visiting customers and this was close to my hotel. The service is excellent and the steaks are tasty. The price fix menu is great, portions and good and great dessert selections. I ordered the amazing bread pudding on both occasions and you should too. Can't go wrong here. The greeter is very nice and the waiters are well trained except for the owners daughter who didn't pay too much attention to your needs.
