“Another nice lunch at Augie's”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013

I had lunch with family at Augie's on Friday - it was another nice meal. Chicken Francese was good along with a salad.

“Tried again and new opinion!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 12, 2013

We had to try Augie's again. We ordered a Large pizza with sausage & peppers. Also a meatball grinder with cheese. We asked for, (and very happily received!) extra sauce and that the peppers be cooked prior to being put on the pizza. Both of our requests were very cheerfully and excellently done. The pizza was MUCH better with the extra sauce. The sausage was very good and on the lean side. The peppers were cooked very nicely and abundant. The meatball grinder was very good. Filled with meatballs and a lot of cheese. Next time, extra sauce (which was very good). Overall, I must say I was happily surprised with our return visit.

“3.5 Stars”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 27, 2013

Decent little Italian place. Pizza is good but seems a little extra greasy. The last time I ate in the restaurant for dinner I remember being underwhelmed by both my meal and service.

“Great family dinner”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 31, 2013

Went on a Wednesday for the dinner special (menu has been expanded) which includes a bottle of wine. Great value
It would help if their were more tables for two. My wife and I usually end up at at a table for four with people standing in line at the door. This time we invited the older couple behind us to join us much to their surprise . Great fun with some local neighbors

Make a reservation . They are very good about honoring them,

“What's the big deal?”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 20, 2013

We've been hearing great things about this restaurant for a long time so we decided to try it. Talked two other couples into joining us and had to ultimately apologize to them. The place defines mediocre. Everything from the location to the inside/decor, to the service, and the food was unimpressive. Sauces that are supposed to be a specialty were no better than Prego. Veal was tough and salads wilted. Even the service was spotty with long waits between courses and little/no attention to little things like coffee refills. Not to even mention a spooky old guy hovering around the table making all of us ill at ease - what's his story?? We finally decided that the sole criteria that appears to drive most people must be portion size. Believe me - there are MANY better Italian restaurants in the area.
