My wife grew up in Danbury and every time we come to visit it she always mentions how nice it must be to stay at Ethan Allen hotel. This time we decided to take the chance because the price was not much higher than Hilton Garden Inn or even Holiday Inn, our standard choices. Our stay was not quite as pleasant as we expected. The first inconvenience occurred just arriving, it was a cool and breezy day but the entrance was blocked and we had to carry our luggage without roof protection. The entrance was blocked during the three nights days we stayed and we didn't understand what was the reason. The second inconvenience was that the standard room was not big enough to accommodate all three of us and the suitcases and shopping bags we had. Other than that the premises are very nice and I particularly enjoyed the quiet and pleasant atmosphere of their lounges and common areas.
