We used that Motel over a 30 times during the last 15 years. It started well under the old name Twin Tree Inn, but now under new management(?) with helpless staff, poor breakfast (more or less only for the desk and service staff), sky high rates and taxes, we look for other alternatives in this area. Anyhow, with the new bypass road, front rooms are much quieter now during the night

runs it.. English is not so good... rt 7 down to Danbury is now a 4 lane xpressway so its a fast trip. Good improvement.

The Newbury Inn is a cozy, quiet motel located in Brookfield. My boyfriend and I have stayed here numerous times and have always enjoyed it. The rooms are decently sized and are very clean, and the bathrooms are very nice. There are plenty of places nearby to eat, and the room is very comfortable overall. The only problem I have is recently with their RoomSaver.com coupon. My boyfriend and I have stayed here a bunch of times within the past year and have always used the RoomSaver coupon, which varies from $49.99 - $69.99, which are not bad prices. However, the last few times we've tried to go there, the staff either says that the RoomSaver rooms are not available, or they have too many people booked so we can't use them, even though we noticed that there were not that many people staying there. Last time we went, we brought the coupon in, and the guy at the front desk told us "they weren't doing that anymore and haven't been for months", even though we definitely stayed there with the coupon rate in May. They should keep their walk-in coupon rates or at least take them out of the books if they aren't giving that rate anymore!

Stayed at this place one night----internet quote was $71-----when we got there it was $119 plus tax----over $130-------was told by desk person that it was a "very busy night"---even though two rooms on either side of us were empty. Wireless internet didn't work.\
Basically the place was a scam and disappointment to us.

We recently stayed at the Newbury Inn to visit some friends nearby.
I reserved an upgraded spa room with a whirlpool.
Check in was fine and the room was adequate if a bit small. The tub was in an alcove next to a regular bathroom with tub, toilet and vanity sink.
The first night was fine and we enjoyed the spa tub.
However we came back after a full day with friends to discover the room had not been cleaned and our key card was not working. Card was fixed OK. The next evening we returned after midnight and the card was not working. We had to rouse the manager. She claimed it was the fault of our American Express card. No note had been left for us of any problem either day. She ran the card and it worked perfectly. We were furious. (Our out of state car was parked right in front of the unit so we obviously hadn't left. She muttered something about the maid saying our stuff was gone. HA!)
The next morning I took a shower and discovered 2 spiders and spiderwebs (one in the bath tub) in the bathroom.
The Continental breakfast was OK. That and the tub were the high points of the stay.

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Newbury Inn during a 7 week assignment in Ct. Anna, the manager, was the reason we chose the inn. She made us comfortable from day one. Anna, Susan and support staff made us feel as though we were at home. I travel 80% of the year and have not experienced a more professional and personal manager as Anna. Thank you and your staff for making our stay so pleasant. I would recommend Newbury Inn to anyone.

Chose this to be near medical app'ts. Wireless did not work for me which was an inconvenience. The room was a bit shabby for the price and the area outside the door had
other guests litter strewn about and not picked up from day to day. It was all right, but am sure there are other better choices in the area.
