Owner description: With over 402 acres of fun, Lake Compounce is the oldest continuously operating amusement park in North America, welcoming families since 1846. Lake Compounce has ten cozy catering pavilions and plenty of room to host your next birthday, party, family reunion, and corporate event! Lake Compounce combines unique and exciting thrill rides and coasters for all ages with a full-sized water park—all for one low price. As the park continues to delight families from all around the New England area and beyond, the balance of evolution and tradition continues to play an important role at the nation’s first amusement park.

Lake compounce is a small amusement park with a lot to offer. As the name implies, it is on a lake. Some water rides actually end up in the clean, clear lake. The water park has all a kid can ask for with a wave pool, bucket dumps, slides, and more. If you'd rather just relax, you can spend the day in the sun at the lake. Beach chairs are provided. It does get a bit crowded in the summer, so be sure to get their early.
The regular amusement area includes rides for all ages. There are not too many thrill rides, but there are roller coasters, both wooden and modern.
Soda is free and unlimited all day everyday!
In the fall, be sure to check out the haunted attraction. A 45 minute walk through a grave yard, chop house, monastery (really creepy) and more.

it's the oldest theme park in the country & is never as packed as Six flags is. It Not a giagantic park. It has great rides & roller coasters, (like Boulder Dash) just to one of them. It also has a water park, A lke with a beach. Free soda all day & the food is darn good too!! As long as you know where to eat! Ther's one place up near the ferris wheel that makes really good Philly cheese steaks! In October they have a fantastic haunted house & graveyard that usaully can scare just about anyone & U can also get a combo pass for the haunted graveyard & ride the rides in the park. If you're ever in Connecticut, summer or fall, I do suggest checking it out, Oh & they usuallt have discount coupons that you can get on your ticket. Just check out their website! I've been going there since I was a kid. I try to treat myself once a year to go spend the day or evening. There's a discount pass if you go after 5 pm.

Lots of rides for all ages, carnival type food and entertainment. Can get pretty expensive for a family of four. The water activities are very popular.

Nostalgic park with some of its original rides such as the Merry Go Round and two fantastic wooden roller coasters! All if the rides are enjoyable. The abutting lake is also a beautiful sight. We go every year in October to enjoy the Haunted Graveyard, this year it was a creepy 45 minute walk...

I've been to my fair share of amusement parks and I found Lake Compounce one of the most enjoyable! They have rides to suit everyone, my sona nd daughter loved the kiddie rides and some of the bigger ones and myself and my husband LOVED the wooden roller coaster Boulder Dash! We both love wooden coasters and this one isone of our favorites! Fastest I think I;ve ever been on, next in line only to the texas giant!!! Can't wait for next summer!
