Some of the cages are too small and look like prisons for the poor animals. The house with monkeys and reptiles opens after the zoo opens so don't get there when it opens or you are going to be hanging around waiting. Since it's on a hill, it's very cold and windy in winter and some fall/spring days. Seems to be geared for younger children and I'd really recommend it for that population.
