We've been for date night and sat at the bistro tables around the bar as well as girl's lunch and family of 6 (with kids). Never a bad meal. Very attentive staff and owner who routinely makes the rounds greeting guests. Staff is knowledgeable about the menu and specials and willing to make a recommendation when asked. Fair prices and large portions. Make a reservation though. Always busy, for good reason.

We enjoyed a good meal at carbone's kitchen. The menu is interesting and the service was friendly and good. We split two salads for three. The wedge and pear salads were very good. Entrees took another 50 minutes to come out and the restaurant not that crowded on sunday. Portions were large . We had scallops, crazy carbonara , and tenderloin which were all very good. Prices are moderate and dinner was 100 before tip. We would try again and hope not too busy. Photos placed .

Stopped again at Carbone's Kitchen for dinner last Monday night. As usual the meal and service were outstanding. This of course is to be expected as Carbone's in Hartford is the parent of the Bloomfield resturant. The portions for the veal parm and a shrimp dish were large and provided another meal at home a couple of nights later.

Myself along with a group of 5 other friends went to Carbone's Kitchen for a meal on a Friday evening in January. We ordered drinks and appetizers and right from the beginning it was off to a rough start when we recieved flat beers from the draft, sent them back, and came to find out 15 minutes later that the bar was broken and then finally got served the other drinks we ordered after out appetizers were delivered. It was good we had ordered appetizers because it took quite a while longer for our main entrees to be served. Three of us ordered pasta, one pizza, and a steak. The steak was cooked improperly, there was a hair in the accompanying mash potatoes, and the pizza and pasta dishes were average. They did send us a free desert because of the issue with our drinks and/or the hair in the meal, which is always nice. However, I don't think I will be returning anytime soon.

Several months ago I wrote a very positive review of this restaurant because of the whole Bronzini fish they served. Tonight the Bronzini is missing in action. Seems like several people were unaware that this wonderful dinner was served whole with head and tail. When they would see this presentation they sent the dish back. That is so unfortunate. This was the only restaurant in the area that served a whole fish which just happens to be the way I like it. I was so disappointed and was forced to order a pasta dish instead. I must say the pasta was very good and tasted homemade. The service by Craig could have been better. The server forgot to bring us bread and only did so after we finished our salad and flagged him down. I am not sure that we will return any time soon now that there is no longer Bronzini on the menu. The food is not cheap and does not include salad.
