“Great Expectation - Bitter Disappointment!!!”
Reviewed September 15, 2013

I had been anticipating a trip to the dairy bar all summer. Finally, made an early Sunday dinner and then hopped in the car for the 45 minute trip to get ice cream.

I ordered the coconut chocolate chunk. The texture was crumbly and it lacked flavor - actually, it tasted like it was freezer burned. My husband ordered the sweet cream with chocolate chips and pure chocolate. The sweet cream had a better texture than the coconut, but still lacked flavor. The chocolate was acceptable at best.

Oh well, glad I finally am able to check this off the list - first visit = last visit.

Owners should stick to making shoes.

“Coddled Bovines = YUM”
Reviewed September 12, 2013

Adorably appointed shop, staffed with plenty of helpful/knowledgeable people and cases full of delicious gems. Really, what more can I say? We are devoted to their cheeses (Reserve & Bella our favorites), ice cream in fresh/handmade waffle cones, sea salted creamy-rich butter and the best half n half every put in a carton. A large window into the production room can prove to be entertaining, if you happen to be there at the right time. Tony & George turn everything they touch into gold and the Arethusa Dairy shop is just another fine example of their exceptional taste. One of your most enjoyable evenings out will include dinner next door at Al Tavolo and dessert here.
