I stayed at the Sunrise in June, 2011. The only redeeming feature is that it is the cheapest of the 3 motels in Yuma. The town was celebrating "Yuma Days" and that's probably the reason the other two motels were booked up.
The room had a coating of dust such as you would see after drywall had been sanded. There was animal hair all over the bedspread, I realized later it was cat hair because I'm allergic to cats. There was human hair in the tub, as if it hadn't been cleaned after the previous occupant. The toilet was filthy. The hot water barely got warm. The through-the-wall air conditioner was wrapped in plastic, the owner said she hadn't gotten around to preparing the room for summer (it was June and it was quite warm out). The room reeked of cigaret smoke though I'd specified a non-smoking room. Between the room and the parking lot was an area of river rock, where there were many piles of dog feces.
