Visitors Beware. Do not go to Trailblazer Snowmobiles in Winter Park, Colorado. My daughter and granddaughter went on a guided tour Feb 24, 2009. The guide went much to fast and left everyone behind. In an effort to catch up my daughter lost control of her vehicke, became airborne and hit a tree. She does have injuries. The guide did not even see the accident because he was so far ahead. When he became aware of the accident he made a comment that the damage to the vehicle was a few hundred dollars. The owner of the business was called and he decided in ten minuites time that my daughter owed him $3100.00 for damages and he charged her credit card. No one was sympathetic to her injuries or her plea to get another opinion about the damages. MY Daughter is a teacher and had just deposited her monthly paycheck. The $3100.00 is more than a months salary. She is now dependant on family members for support until she gets paid 3-25. We have contacted several officials in Winter Park and more that one acknowledged that she was probably scammed and we would have to pursue this in a legal manner. Be warned. Stay away from Trailblazer Snowmobiles and Winter Park, Colrado. Very unfriendly to visitors.

Me and my girlfriend called the morning of and were able to get scheduled on the 2 hour tour at 12:30. We got there before everyone and as the other 10 or so people showed up, we started to get a little nervous about how fun this would be because there were several little kids. Our shallow thoughts were soon erased. Josh was our tour guide. He promised us that we would have so much fun. He was right. We got to be number 1 and 2 behind Josh in our group of 9. During our ride, Josh would open it up for 5 to 10 minutes at a time!!!! It was awesome because it gave us dare devils a chance to live life on the edge. We would stop and wait for the rest of the group to catch up which gave us time to take pictures and talk trash about the slow riders. All in good fun. Our 2 hour tour actually ended up taking almost 3 hours which no one complained about that. The only thing that would had made this a bad day is if we where stuck further back in line. But, within 20 minutes, everyone had established theirselves in order that fit their skill level the best! I have been on several tours over the years and this by far was the best. I recommend using Trailblazers and request Josh. He will take care of you. Oh, and make sure you tip him good. I promise you he will deserve it. Def. worth the price which the price is very reasonable.

After calling them the day before, they arranged to pick us up from the coffee shop in Fraser (on the free bus route). They were bang on time, and whisked our group of 5 up to the Trailbalzer mountain base. My trepidation at the sight of the shack buildings was soon eased when we got inside the heated kit room - the large range of clothing and gear is all clean and dry waiting for you.

Our guide Michael was very friendly, and went clearly through the safety briefing giving us all plenty of time to get a feel for the equipment and ask questions.

Then we were off across country. We covered lots of wooded trails, and had a blast about in the meadows. A couple of us got stuck in the deep, but Michael was great and quickly got us out and back on track.

After two hours we got back to base and got a free lift back to the pickup point - easy, safe, and reasonably priced.

If there were any negatives they were that we could have covered more distance and had a bit more guidance on where we were and what we were looking at - but then it was a foggy day and you can't have it all.

How incredible! There were a group of 7 of us ranging from inexperienced motorcyclist to extremely experienced taking on "snowmobiles"! We booked the trip on-line prior to our vacation during Jan. 2007. The date was set and Trailblazers came and picked us up at our resort, free of charge and took us to our adventures starting point. Each of us had our own snowmobile and uncertainy about manuevering. Once geared up, a young guide named Sean briefly explained all we needed to know and demoed for us. We were off, small paths and turns at first then Sean checked on us and lead us to our 2 hour adventure. Our 2 hours turned into 4 because we wanted MORE! WHAT A RUSH! Never did we think we could have so much fun riding snowmobiles! The views were breathtaking and the Continental Divide just doesn't look the same from below! Sean was extremely polite and courteous and made sure we were all okay when we made a silly maneauver and got stuck. He quickly learned our riding style and lead us to the most spectacular places for snowmobiling. He also took care of the riders that were a little slower than the others and nervous. Sean was the best tour guide we have ever had and will recommend him and Trailblazers to all that inquire! This is a first class operation and well worth every dime spent with them.
