I am a serious soup connoisseur. I remember the best Pho in Viet Nam and walk there in my mind on occasion. I remember the best gumbo in New Orleans and think of driving there late at night sometimes. I remember the best matzoh ball soup and if only my grandmother would open that coffin door could I taste that bit of heaven again. In Guatemala there is a chicken and rice soup that seriously even if you are not headed to Antiqua you should go just so you can have some of that soup.....and when in Colorado or even flying over head, drop in or out of the sky as the case may be and make sure, okay, make absolutely certain you get to The Back Bowl Soup Company. How absolutely inspiring that they actually make a spicy green chile soup that is spicy and has yummy bits of garlic-yes, these folks are unafraid of making good soup. The curried butternut squash soup as if it were from India.
A day on the slopes should always end at the back bowl.
