My family was visiting relatives in the Denver area on a Friday and we took a drive to Winter Park for the day. It took about an hour from the Western Suburbs of Denver. Upon arriving at the resort just before 10am, we followed the signs for "Summer Activity Parking" which led us to the parking structure where parking was free. We walked through the shops in the Village and then went to the ticket windows to buy the all-day pass which is good for unlimited activities, including the Alpine Slide. All of the activities were fun, We took a break for lunch and ate at Lime, An American Cantina, the food and service were good. Vettes On the Rockies was going on that weekend. The Corvettes were parked throughout the Village. Also, at 4pm a musical group started playing at the Gazebo by the pond. It was a free concert and was a great setting. Throughout the Village you will find life-size board games such as Scrabble, Connect Four, Checkers and Chess. It is a free, fun activity. Before leaving for the day we shopped a little more and also had ice cream from Goodys Mountain Creperie. The ice cream was very good! There are a lot of summer activities at this resort. The next time we visit in the summer, we will probably have to ride bikes on the mountain. A lot of people were doing that and it looked like fun. Overall, we had a great day and would recommend Winter Park for fun summer activities. Consult the resort's website before going so that you are aware of the activity prices and any special offers and events.

We had a family reunion and spent a nice afternoon in Winter Park. It was my first time to ride a ski lift without snow underneath... Scary! All in all, it was a fabulous time!

What a blast! 8 of our 10 family members went down the Alpine Slide. The two that sat out were the infant and grandma who offered to stay back and watch him. The rest of us ranged from 5 years old up to mid 50's. This was my wife's and my first time going down an alpine slide. We both caught on quickly and were running our sleds as fast as they would go. I only wish we had more time so we could go down the slide again. That, or bike down the mountain. Maybe next time now that we know what is all there.

Spent a week over Christmas skiing here and really enjoyed it. It was our first trip to WP but we take a ski vacation every year. I like that the village was small but had just about everything you needed. If not you could go into town easily. The Christmas skiing was good, not great, but everything was laid out well. We stayed in the village and loved walking home for lunch or a hot tub trip. People were friendly and they had an amazing Christmas bonfire and lighted mountain event that was just gorgeous. I also liked that the drive was relatively carefree from the airport to the mountain so you could get on with your holiday. it is on the list for easy, family friendly skiing.

My wife, son and I spent three hours going down the alpine slide, it was that much fun. The ride down is great and the lift back up relaxing. We bought the half day pass and pretty much just did the slide, stopped and had a beverage and back on, great time. The resort itself is very nice, we are not staying here but would look into that for another day. Do the slide, plus everyone we met there was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful and concerned about everyones safety.
