The Westin, Westminster is amazing. It's my favorite place for business and really for personal weekend getaways too, you can't beat it. Staff is great, hotel is beautiful and laid out well, pool is great, food is outstanding, grounds, and fountains and water is awesome. Movies and restaurants & bars a very short walk away, it's an ideal spot.

We stayed at the Westin Westminster for a few nights to visit family. The hotel is in a great location and about 20 minutes from the airport. It is located next to a mall with lots and lots of restaurants and a movie theater. There was also an ice rink and bowling alley nearby. It was very close to the butterfly pavillion (we did not go there). The lobby was beautiful. The first room we were given had some sort of a water leak. The carpet was soaked and there was an awful smell. We called down the front desk and the moved us to another room .. dry carpet and no smell. It was your average hotel room, nothing special, but nice enough. Unfortunately, the pool was being renovated and we didn't get to see it. The beds were comfortable and there was a flat screen TV. I would definitely return.

The Westin is not really near anything. But the actaul property is quite nice abd surely 4 star. The conference facility is very convenient. I was not too keen on the food at the restaurant, but there is a huge selection of other places across the highway. The room was large, very comfortable, and nice view.

I recently spent a weekend here while attending a large conference in downtown Denver. The conference hotels were sold out and other rooms nearby were overpriced (the Denver Stock Show was also going on at the same time), so I booked a room in this hotel instead. With a car, it was quite convenient to the Denver Convention Center -- about a 20 minute trip.

The hotel itself was beautiful, with a sort of Western Lodge feel in the lobby area, and very nice landscaping outside. The lobby manages to be both grand and cozy at the same time. The check-in process went smoothly and the room was in perfect order. The view from my south-facing 6th-floor room was lovely, with an unbroken view to the horizon. The Westin bedding was very nice (I've found it to be so in most Westin properties) and I especially liked the dual-head shower in the bathroom.

I ate in the restaurant the first night and felt welcome even though I was eating alone. The food was good (I ordered a steak) and it looked like they were trying to be more adventurous in their offerings than the typical hotel restaurant. The price was pretty high -- around $45 including wine, tax and tip -- but seemed about right for the quality.

I didn't get a chance to use the pool because I forgot to bring my bathing suit, but I was impressed with the facilities. The pool and saunas are indoors, with a wall of glass on one side leading out to a stone patio where the hot tub (open even in January) was located.

I thought that this was a very nice place to stay and would gladly go there again... next time with my bathing suit.

  • Liked — Had Colorado flavor -- not a generic hotel.
  • Disliked — No free internet access.

Always request a better room after going to your room. Unlike other 4 star hotels, the Westin's personnel at this hotel seem to have been instructed to give guests the worst possible room and act like it is the only one available. Some floors are not worthy of three stars much less four with torn and dirty hall carpeting and dirty walls and baseboards. I have never been in a room here that didn't have soiled carpets. Only the beds are worthy of the Westin brand name. This hotel should not be rated more highly than 3 stars as it is not significantly different than an ordinary HIlton of Sheraton except that at those other hotels you are not nickeled and dimed for every little thing such as printing a document, extra coffee packets, and the outrageous $16 charge for internet use in your room. I guess it received four stars because there is a bathrobe hanging behind the bathroom door. For the price of a room here, you could stay at a suite at the Loews more centrally located hotel and live in luxury with no petty charges and be treated like a king by its well trained staff. Even at the $110 price I paid on priceline, this hotel is just not worth the price.

  • Liked — the bed
  • Disliked — the poor value the hotel represents and the dirty and poor condition of the halls and room carpets

The Westin Westminster is a great location, great value for what you receive. The hotel quality is high - it is not new, but the upkeep gives it that feel.

The Westin fragrance, Heavenly bed and overall cleanliness means this hotel is very close to 5 stars in my book.

Location means parking is free, although across the street. I prefer staying at this property if flying out of Denver, as it is a mere 30-35 minutes in the HOV lane to get to DIA.

The lobby is nice, and the presence of a doorman/valet is an effort well appreciated. The only negative is each time I check in, there seems to be an issue with the computers. Front desk staff compensates in a professional manner.

* cleanliness is the best
* beds are the best
* staff above average
* Internet below average ($14/night? Really?)
* air conditioning average (digital thermostat is nice)
* price below average (for quality, great rate)
* location above average (Westminster/Boulder easy access to West side of Denver, downtown, DIA)
