The Westin Westminster
Ranked #4 of 20 Hotels in Westminster

Our stay at the Westin in Westminster, Colorado was very disappointing. The room rate was higher than we normally like to pay, but there was a "prepay" special of buy two nights, get one free. This brought the $159/night cost down to near $100/night. Our reservation was to include the "technology package"- Since lower-end hotels don't charge for wireless internet in the room, I made the assumption the "technology package" would cover this. We were traveling on business and would need access to internet. Our first sign that something was not right was the dirty bathroom! There was trash in two of our trashcans upon arrival and some kind of pills on the ledges around the bathroom sink. We also found that the mini-bar - refrigerator was not accessible, after calling the front desk they told us it was not working. SO - no refrigerator - I attempted to go online - the system requested I check an acceptance to pay $12/day to use the internet in my room - I called the front desk, was told that it was standard - so I decided to skip it at that time. They called me back and said they checked and it was a part of my rate - to go ahead and upon checking out tell them and they would remove it from my bill. The air conditioning in our room also did not work - it would not cool the room - we called the front desk on day two - they sent a guy up to fix the a/c - and then had a refrigerator sent up - it was a beat up old white one - looked like it had fallen down a flight of stairs or something. Worst part was the girl who argued with me for 15 minutes upon checkout telling me that I owed the internet charges. After the line behind me began to grow, she finally said she would remove it, but to remember in the future it is charged. She was very rude. Upon returning home we found those charges as well as some additional charges were added to our bill. I WOULD NEVER stay at this hotel again! Very poor service and such rudeness are not acceptable in a service industry.

My daughter had her wedding at the Westminster Westin and it was the perfect venue. The Wedding/Reception staff was excellent as was the food that was served at the reception . All of our guests from out of town loved their rooms, especially those with the mountain views. This is a 5 star hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a mountain view on a higher level floor. Beautiful!

I stay here once or twice a month while in the Denver area on business. The hotel is luxurious, excellent food, quiet, and clean. It is close to restaurants and entertainment across the street and nearby and is not far from downtown Denver. This is a much nicer Westin than the one I stayed in downtown Denver. I highly recommend this hotel.

My husband and I were displaced when our basement flooded. Luckily we were able to get a great rate at the Westin where we could bring our dogs. Jeremy Greenwell, in particular was amazing. Not only was he a great server and got all of my ridiculous food allergies correct (btw- the food was great- they even had gluten free Udis bread), he even sent a care package to our room because he knew we'd been dealing with our house issues. Everyone is courteous and friendly, the grounds are sweet- our dogs could run oalong the miles of trails and there's the westminster pavillions across a footbridge complete with movie theatre and restaurants. only a few minutes from Boulder, we could drive back and forth easily and were incredibly thankful to have a beautiful home away from home.

Room Tip: get a room with odd dumbers for views of the mountains

We hosted a rehearsal dinner for my son's wedding at the Westin Westminster. The catering sales manager was thorough, effecient, and very pleasant. The dining room and bar staff were genuinely caring and went out of their way to accomodate the special needs of a few of our guests. The room set up was exactly as desired, and the venue was beautiful. I was hesitant planning such an important event from several states away, and it could not have turned out nicer!

Very inviting hotel geared to and well equipped for small to mid-sized conferences and banquets. Excellent facilities and services. The banquet food served across several meals of the conference I attended was excellent - better than most similar venues I've experienced elsewhere. The location is somewhat centered between Boulder, downtown Denver and the airport, so it's kind of handy via car to everything but close to nothing. If not there for a conference or hotel event it could serve as a base from which to do day trips in different directions in the region. There is an entertainment complex adjacent and walkable to with a movie theatre, ice arena, and a few mid scale chain type restaurants and bars to offer a change-up to the good hotel offerings.

Solid 4 star room amenities and services exceeding expectations. If the location serves your needs, or if you are an event planner considering this area, I would recommend.

We had a very comfortable stay and found previous reviewers were quite accurate. The lobby was cozy and welcoming as were the front desk personnel.Rooms, though a little small, were very comfortable with excellent beds/pillows/bedding, ample towels, workspace desk, flat screen tv, and quiet/efficient air conditioning. We actually enjoyed the view of the park (as opposed to the mountains) since we live in the high desert with mountains and found the greenery and lack of traffic views quite appealing to the south/east. Several suggestions: (1) $12/day technology bundle we were told was mandatory for us since we booked through a 3rd party but we had to make a special request for the 2 water bottles DAILY. Also internet was inoperative for our first 24 hours so desk said they would not charge us...but did anyway.Strangely housekeeping only leaves 1 bar of soap (a pretty leaf shape) a day for both sink AND bath/shower but replaces both soap and shampoo/conditioner (removes the old one) each day, so we ended up hiding ours to keep 2 on hand for recycling. The pool and hot tub, both attractively designed with spectacular views, seemed to need better filtration as the water was dirtier than I normally see in public pools. Finally the landscaping around the hot tub has been neglected, so the weeds are overtaking the shrubbery boxes. To end on a bright note, we were delighted to get Starbucks coffee in the room each day and would happily stay here in the future.

Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay at The Westin Westminster! I would have to agree with you on the views at our hotel. You can’t go wrong with either Park View or Mountain View depending on your scenery preference. I do apologize for some of the inconveniences experienced in your room with housekeeping and internet access. They are not indicative of our service standards and your feedback will be used to make improvements. Thank you for your business and we look forward to having you stay with us again in the near future!
