I don't know what some of the other's are complaing about here.
But I found the staff friendly, the room clean and smelled fresh.,
They have a "No Pets" policy, I asked because I don't want to stay in a room were there were any pets.
Front Desk staff was friendly and polite, promptly got me a room,
that would be quiet.
Breakfast was the typical plus they were making fresh omeletts
WiFi was fast, was able to surf as if I was on my home WiFi network, and as IT person, I am fussy about WiFi

Rooms smell like dog urine, pool was yellow, had to wait for room to be ready even though it was 4:00 and check in is supposed to be at 3:00. very rude employees that are not customer service friendly. I would never recommend any one to stay in this hotel/motel. Trinidad Co/Pueblo Co. has more options and more customer friendly people.

one night stay while traveling with family on vacation was average. both check in and check waits were a little long due to clerks chatting with other guests and staff.

Stayed one night in a one-king room outside the main hotel. Window-size A/C unit kept the room cool and bed was comfy. Wi-fi was slower than expected (perhaps all wireless access points inside the main hotel), but once we decided to use the "wired" room internet, the speed was much more satisfactory. TV only had 15 channels, including HBO. Bathroom was extremely small. Bed was comfy, but only had three small pillows. Breakfast in the morning included the "daily special" (for us, biscuits and gravy).

This is a very nice hotel. Large, clean, modern rooms, a nice pool, helpful staff, and convenient to the highway. The included breakfast was very good and quite generous. The only downside is that it was pretty expensive, for Walsenburg, Colorado. I had to stay here as a last-minute accomodation, because the campground at the nearby state park was closed, so that may have affected the price. Still, I have no complaints with the quality of the experience.

This is a good motel for the area. Nice location for exploring southern Colorado. Seems somewhat overpriced for the area, but probably due to its being right next to Interstate 25 and depends on a lot of traffic from there. The rooms were pretty standard motel fare, but they were very clean and neat. The room did smell of onions when I first got there, but after airing it out that smell was gone. The toilet itself seemed somewhat loose, not attached to the floor securly. At night the refridgerator was fairly loud and could be somewhat annoying. The room included the refridgerator, a small microwave, iron and ironing board. I stayed in the older part of the motel and the rooms were very quiet at night - nice thick walls between rooms. Newer motels are built with thinner walls. Maid service was efficient. The shower head was at least 6.5 feet high, and I really appreciated that...being 6'2" myself. Nearby (walking distance) food places included A&W, KFC and Taco Bell. The free Wi-Fi was amazingly fast and easy to connect to. Better than a lot of much more expensive hotel/motels.
