The beautiful interior had us prepared for a terrific stay until we met some of the hotel/restaurant staff. They had an abrupt/brisk approach at the front desk & River Rock Cafe wait staff. We stayed in the Presidential room that is directly above the kitchen which meant when meals were being prepared you could feel the kitchen fan vibration in our floor, plus hear a slight dull hum. The room lighting was poor especially in the bathroom ~ any woman wanting to apply make up has a challenge. The shower is beautiful, but no place to put a bar of soap, bottle of shampoo, etc, except on the floor. We requested a box of tissues Sunday AM when we went down for breakfast. They could not locate one & had supposedly called someone from housekeeping that would be there any minute. Two hours later when we checked out, housekeeping had yet to show up! Restaurant menu is very limited if you wish to eat healthy. Most dishes are fried, deep fried or slathered in sauces. Hotel has marvelous potential, but could benefit greatly in making it a more dependable/friendly destination. Their brochure reads very well, but there was a definite disconnect between that and what we experienced!
