This hotel is an excellent choice for families in town to ski. The location could not be better. It is a very short walk to the Golden Peak base area which features ski rentals as well as the children and adult's ski school. The walk to Vail Village is also extremely close at just about 1 block out the front door. Vail Village is absolutely gorgeous and contains many shops, restaurants, a theatre, bowling and an ice skating rink. Breakfast was included in the room rate and is served in the beautiful Terra Bistro downstairs. Staff in the restaurant for breakfast were excellent and the quality of food was top-notch. Our room was beautiful and up-to-date with high-quality finishes. Beds and linens were luxurious as one would expect in a high-end hotel. The only negative I can say is that the gentlemen who is often at the front desk is not very friendly. This is the only reason I couldn't give this hotel the highest rating. The rest of the hotel was so great and we would definitely stay here again.

th room was lovely, the staff accommodating and the breakfast excellent. And there were no extras added on as at many Vail properties, the only thing wrong was that one side of the mattress was squishy. I slept in a different part so it didn't affect my sleep.

found this through trip adviser looking for location near the slopes in vail, provide for breakfast,
seemed to provide all the basic amenities and free access to good fitness center ,yoga classes, rock climbing.friendly helpful staff provided for shuttles to local restaurants at night, walking distance to vail village.
Have a therapist and NP/PA in clinic on property to address medical problems and were very helpful to address concerns symptoms of high altitude sickness.
Rooms seem to be dated and need an upgrade for the price.
Downside hard to locate the entrance you could drive past it easily only mentions the Bistro/restaurant from the street.

Room Tip: ask for room facing mountains on higher floor if you want a view from your room.
