“Love the Tivoli”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 13, 2014

This was our first stay at the Tivoli, but won't be our last. We loved the place. Our room was spacious and plush and whisper quiet. In fact, we were across the hall from the elevator and the ice machine room and never knew it until we stepped into the hall.

The bath is large, the shower excellent, the soaking tub (with no jets) a delight. The little kitchenette (with small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee pot was nice. The large flat screen TV, gas fire place, and large comfy king bed were all perfect.

The black out curtains were good (not great) and the breakfasts (an extra charge) were delicious. Unfortunately, you have to pay extra for on-site parking, but the public (free in summer) parking garage is literally 300 steps from the hotel.

The location is convenient to Vail village and we were able to walk most everywhere we needed to go. Excellent service and top-not accommodations ... well, we'll definitely be return customers.

This was the second year in a row that we have stayed at Tivoli Lodge and the first time we have stayed in a Mountain View Tower Room. Well, worth the upgrade! Lots and lots of windows and views of the mountain. I believe we got a return customer discount. The bathroom is very spacious with two shower heads and a "rain" shower head in the middle. The "rain" shower head got much hotter water than the other shower heads that stayed very lukewarm. We did not find the mattresses especially comfortable and the wi-fi was slow if you were wanting to upload your pictures. There is a breakfast buffet offered with an omelet bar that will run you $30 per couple. I was not fond of the omelets or the waffles as I am thinking this was due to the pre-packaged mixes. However, there is plenty of fresh fruit and ever trout, salmon and capers. You do not have to do the breakfast as there is a microwave and refrigerator in the room (there is a sundries store in Vail Village where you can get all kinds of supplies including breakfast). The Tivoli has a bar and a very relaxing area in which to enjoy your cocktail. The staff is very friendly and willing to do anything for you. We have always been impressed with the service. There is valet parking which you almost certainly will have to do at a summer price of $17 per day. We will definitely stay here again next June!

Room Tip: Any of the tower rooms are an excellent choice, but the mountain view tower rooms are the primo choi...

I traveled to Vail with my husband and seven friends for a joint bachelor/bachelorette party. You can read about it here: http://www.azcentral.com/story/travel/2014/04/01/why-my-fiancee-tagged-along-on-my-bachelor-party/7164871/

The mountain definitely did not meet my needs as a beginning skier, and I felt "off" during the four days from the altitude and my husband got sick BUT the Tivoli Lodge was the perfect place to stay. We had originally considered renting a house but ultimately decided that it would be too expensive and complicated as we were all staying for different lengths of time. We made ample use of the gorgeous and cozy lobby area, even playing a rousing game of Cards Against Humanity one evening. The breakfast buffet was ample and delicious. We took advantage of the hot tub and bar and food in the afternoon. Perhaps the best part of hanging in the lobby was getting to spend time with the adorable resident dogs, Speed and Jeepers!

The Lodge is conveniently located both for those who wanted to ski and those who wished to shop and dine. The ski valet was a great perk. We rented at Vistabahn which was only a short walk away.

I think I'll stick to skiing on the east coast closer to sea level, but if I ever do return to Vail I would definitely stay here again!

Very friendly staff. Clean rooms however not a 5 star hotel in vail. Solid 4 star hotel. Breakfast was solid and kids pricing appreciated. Internet was strong and decent workout facility for a smaller hotel

My wife and spent last weekend at The Tivoli Lodge in Vail and it was FANTASTIC! The location is perfect, the lodge staff extremely attentive and helpful (especially Tyler) and the ambiance superb. We did not want to leave. I've already told most everyone I know they need to go to Vail and stay at The Tivoli Lodge. Thanks for a terrific stay and fantastic memories.

Although our stay in Vail was during the "in between season," at the end of May, prior to GoPro and summer, the staff and the facility itself were simply outstanding. The accommodations and fixtures were both tasteful and very comfortable. The location was also exactly right and very convenient. We will definitely stay there again in our next visit.

Room Tip: Suite was airy, high ceilinged and lovely.

The staff were very friendly and efficient and the room was very well appointed with lots of good ideas and the maid service was impeccable. The location was excellent only a two minute walk to the gondola and less than five minutes to the centre of the village. If we return to Vail we would definitely stay at the Tivoli.

I had to rate the restaurant as average as the only time we ate the buffet breakfast there we were disappointed by the mediocre quality of the breakfast pastries.
