This hotel has so much character! It's just really beautiful to look at. The wood trim, the attention to detail. It's just there. We feel in love with it upon pulling up to the door. WOW! You will love it! The slopes were closed, so I cannot speak to the convenience to the chair, but we had a GREAT view of the slopes. Otherwise, we walked to all meals. Shopped. Had massages across the street with a 10% discount. We could not have been happier with the location. The staff was amazing. Just kind and helpful. Not over the top. Just nice. The rooms were beautiful...again. We were on the 4th floor, room 408 and had a great view of the slopes. There was a gas fireplace (one a timer) that was nice for going to sleep to. The bed and pillows were amazing. I could not complain....except that there was nothing for background or distraction noise. I normally use my ceiling fan rattle at home to drown out other noise. There was nothing to help with this here. Thus, I awoke here and there due to showers or doors. Nothing the hotel could control. My husband sleeps through everything and was not affected at all. But I am a "Mom sleeper" and awake at all sounds. So, I would have looked for a white noise app or something along that line to help me out. There was also not an ipod, or pandora player, which seems fairly common these days. Again. this was not a game changer, but something to plan for. Otherwise, we had a mini fridge, coffee maker and a small microwave, but we didn't use the latter two. The Starbucks in the lobby was too wonderful, so we walked down and through the elevator to the lobby for coffee. I will tell you the continental breakfast is pathetic. It was muffins that were certainly store frozen muffins. It had about 6 types of cereal with only whole milk. There were apples (only). And then there was some kind of instant oatmeal. I would suggest for a hotel of this caliber that they offer more in this area. I think that in CO, fruit is certainly common. Adding bananas wouldn't cost much. There are plenty of places for breakfast, but if you're skiing, you won't want the bother. Maybe bring a box of pancake mix and do pancakes on a griddle (you'll have to bring...or they could offer one via calling down) if you want an ok and on the go skiing breakfast. Anyway, it was just an amazing place!!! I would go back in a heartbeat! I hope you visit them!!!!
