“Excellent rooms, great breakfast, and prime location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 29, 2011

We booked our trip through Jetsetter for our family of five - two kids under 8 and a baby. The rooms are not attached but they put us next to each other and it worked fine. The mountain view rooms have a small kitchenette and are large, with excellent decor and a nice bathroom. We loved the location - you can walk everywhere with two very nice parks for the kids nearby. We highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again in the future. The breakfasts were excellent - we all had something to choose from, which nothing short of miraculous four a hotel buffet to provide a family of five. There's free parking, or they offer covered valet for a decent price. All in all an excellent experience.

Room Tip: Ask for a king mountain view.

This is a beautiful hotel and is ideally located in downtown Vail. Spent one night here in June and I would highly recommend it. The quality and service cannot be beat. My only complaint is that there was no A/C in the rooms! Although Vail doesn't get overly warm in the summer - that came as quite a surprise. Our room faced the street so it's not like we wanted to keep the windows open overnight and hear noise (and cars going by). Other than that, this hotel is ideal for your stay in Vail. It is significantly less expensive than most other lodging locations which is a great bonus! Please note that the "free parking" that was advertised is really free to all guests in the summer. The public parking garage is just a short walk away.

Tivoli Lodge was a wonderful place to stay. It's convenientnly located in Vail Village, which has shopping, dining, etc. The rooms were charming, although we were surprised by the lack of AC. The front desk staff was more than happy to provide a fan, though, and we were very comfortable with that running at night. During the day while we were in the room, we'd leave our patio door open and that also proved to make the room comfortable. Our room had two queen beds but the bathroom had only a standing shower (no tub,) although our family member stayed in a room with a single king bed and that bathroom had a tub. Those accommodations vary from room to room, so keep that in mind if those things make a difference. The breakfast in the morning was wonderful! Very tasty and fresh, and it was definitely worth the price ($9.95 for the cold breakfast, $13.95 for the full breakfast with hot items.) The staff was very friendly, and we really appreciated their help with any questions we had. They are wonderful and will only enhance your stay. Overall, we'll definitely stay in Tivoli Lodge again if given the chance.

Room Tip: Book early (before the season starts in June.)

It's hard to beat the location of the Tivoli Lodge in getting over to the Vista Bahn lift and it is a very short walk into Vail Village. The Tivoli lobby is gorgeous (check out their pictures). The front desk staff and valet were excellent, friendly, and accommodating. We were only there 2 days and 1 night but they really went out of their way to make us feel at home. Tivoli offers a continental breakfast with the room rate, valet ski service, 2 hot tubs just off the lobby. Wi-fi was spotty would be my only criticism.
