“Condo was great - distance to slopes was trying.”
Reviewed April 10, 2010

We stayed here for a week beginning March 27. Check-in was quick and they let us in earlier than 4pm. Condo was clean, comfortable and well-equipped. The master bedroom even had a walk-in closet where we could stow all our luggage. View of the slopes was stunning. We had a 3rd floor unti which meant walking up THREE flights of stairs with all our luggage and every day after skiing - NO elevator. UGH. The walk to the mountain was also trying. It was very tiring after a long day of skiing - and then walking up the 3 flights of stairs made it even worse. The mountain shuttle does NOT actually stop here - you have to use the town shuttle (forget what it's called) and that only stops every 30 - 40 minutes. We never bothered to wait for it. The units are well-priced though and probably one of the nicest ski condos we have ever stayed in. The kids loved the heated pool and hot-tubs very much. All in all I'm not sure I would stay here again, but if you are looking to save some $$$ in Vail it is a great option.

This condo is nothing like the pictures that have been advertised. The devore is characterless and not apealing.
The bathrooms are old and dingy. there were no shampoos or conditioners available in the unit. The DVD player and remotes were not working and out of batteries.
The management office seemed indifferent to our complaints.
This is not a goldstar unit by far.

Excellent location, with lockers at Vail's lift area. Essentially ski-in ski-out, without the steep price tag. Everyone enjoyed the six minute morning walk to the lockers. No car necessary. Our unit had tumbled marble baths and a very well appointed granite accented kitchen. Also, a pretty, heat throwing gas fireplace. Heated pool and hot tubs: hot and top notch. Clean with excellent service. My misplaced wedding ring was found, Fedexed to me, and on my finger in two days. I'll live to be there next year!

The Photos on the website were very decieving.
Our actual condo was not near the quality that was depicted online.
We had tacky old furniture, lousy beds, and tiny bathrooms.

I would have felt fine about our stay, but I felt the price did NOT reflect the worth or value of this unit. Bad DEAL

Visiting from Canada, we have stayed at Sun Vail for a week each of the past two years and intend to return in 2010. Our two-bedroom suite has always been ready, clean and has everything one could want in a home away from home including well-stocked (utensils) kitchen, fireplace, ensuite laundry facilities and two bathrooms. The heated pool and whirlpools are magnificient and open into the evening. Parking is available and the condo is conveniently located up the road from a great supermarket, whose product selection and prices rival those in Denver. While it is a short walk from the bottom of the hill, there is a convenient location to store your skis and boots near the gondola and the short distance to the condo provides a great chance to walk off the lactic acid built up in the legs after a wonderful day on the hill. There is easy access to wonderful restaurants and the location is quiet, peaceful, well-maintained and safe. We hope to return year after year.

I stayed here with ywo friends and we thoroughly enjoyed the trip. The condo was exactly as described and facilities were nice. We got stuck in a snowstrom after we checked out and I-70 was closed. Dale invited us to use the pool & hot tub, gave us clean towels, so we were pleasantly stranded, He also let me chich in with the airlines & print my boarding pass.

Great location! There is a ped. bridge to Lionshead Village, and you get a ski-locker at Ski-tech in the village. Great view of the slopes (across I-70...). Nicely done condo, great kitchen, with REAL wine glasses (nice touch!). 50 yards to the hot tub/pool. We had a ground unit and sat on the patio for apres ski.

Special kudos to proprietor Dale! We arrived late on Thursday pm, and our hotels.com reservation had not gone through, and he made quick arrangements to let us in. We were also pinheads, and locked ourselves out of the condo, which was quickly remedied.

When we return to Vai, we would stay again in a second.
