The Sitzmark Hotel is a freindly place to stay while in Vail, Co. We stay here every time we are in town. The staff is very helpful and willing to accomodate you as guest.
The rooms are very attractive and clean.
This hotel reminds me of a place I stayed in Germany many years ago.
We always look forward to our next trip.

Room Tip: Go before summer season or winter season. The early part of May had good prices. The rooms facing Go...

Spent 3 nights at the Sitzmark Lodge in Vail during the off-season. Great location in Vail Village next to the creek and within walking distance to restaurants and shops. The room had a mountain view and overlooked the pool. If I were to stay again (which is definitely likely if I come to Vail again) I would request a creekside room.

The room had a refrigerator, coffee maker, with mugs, wine glasses and a corkscrew. The flat screen tv was nice and had LOTS of channels...not that we stayed in the room for very long. There was no AC, but this is a place where it is rarely necessary. But you can sleep with the sliding glass door open or turn on the ceiling fan.

Loved being able to try out tempurpedic mattresses!

No breakfast in the summer, but there were plenty of places to get breakfast within walking distance.

Room Tip: Request creek side! It is beautiful.

Took a chance by booking a small family owned hotel but was pleasantly surprised. Located in Vail Village amongst restaurants + shops - all within walking distance or reachable using the shuttle. The decor of the place was quaint + relaxing. Take the creek side room as it's worth the extra cost. Spending a few minutes in late afternoon on your balcony with tea or mocha in hand listening to the creek was so nice. The temperatures were definitely up and there is no air-conditioning but the ceiling fan was more than adequate for cooling. As we visited in June (low season) most restaurants were giving some sort of discount on their entrees. The front desk does shut down for the night and when they do, they lock up the coffee, tea, hot chocolate and computer area like a jail.

Room Tip: Get the creek side room - it's worth the extra $$.

spent 5 days and 4 nights at the Sitzmark, and while the skiing conditions were "less than ideal" (read:lousy), the hotel was a great place to hang pool side while the temps reached almost 70 degrees. this is a great place to bring the family and the staff is excellent. this was my 7th stay there and will always be first call when I go to Vail.

We booked a room at the last minute over Easter weekend/Spring Break for a little getaway. Could not have been more pleased. The location is perfect - can walk everywhere in Vail Village and only minutes to the lift (before your skis get too heavy!). Having parking available was a bonus. Our room was CLEAN and comfortable, overlooking the pool and mountains. We did use the pool and hot tub, and enjoyed both very much. The staff was wonderful - friendly, helpful, polite. Although we did not stay for breakfast, a nice continental spread was available. What we did take advantage of was the delicious soup provided in the afternoon - just what we needed to recharge from our activities and bridge us over to dinner. Having stayed at other locations in Vail with less than stellar experiences, we will certainly make this our first choice for lodging in the future!!

I really enjoyed my time at the Sitzmark. I would definitely go back! It's a family run business. All the people who worked there were really friendly and helpful. The hotel room had a great view of the mountain and the river in the back yard. We had a nice balcony which was fun to go sit on and watch the river! They do have a hot tub and a heated pool which I didn't have the chance to use. The location was perfect! We were there for the Vail Film festival and were in easy walking distance to everything! It was also close to the skiing. The provided breakfast was perfect!...and made our trip so easy when we didn't have to worry about where to find breakfast. They also provided soup and a hot wine drink in the afternoon which was so hospitable! The rooms were nicely decorated and very comfy. The beds are those memory foam mattresses which I really loved...but can see how people who aren't used to it could find it uncomfortable. Such a great experience! Can't wait to go back!

We had the pleasure over our spring break and loved it. The room was lovely with a welcome bottle of wine. We had a view of the village and mountain which was quite fun to watch the activity while not skiing. Breakfast was a nice treat along with spiced wine and soup each evening. We met great people over breakfast and one couple talked us into going to New Zealand. Brian, the manager was most helpful. The owners had a wine and cheese party up in their fabulous apartment on the top fun. We have already booked for a week next week.

Room Tip: We loved the village side but would imagine the creek in the summer would be lovely.
