Stayed during August for three days and was never disappointed in our stay.
The valet service was responsive when we asked for our car and the guest desk couldn’t have been friendlier.
We were on the fifth floor in a newly renovated room. The room is a tad small, but with a balcony and how the rooms are now decorated, they felt warm and cozy, and upscale. Finally, a hotel room that has a TV larger than mine (60in +).

I did hear that only guest will get renovated rooms, but would ask for one nevertheless.
Some minor issues. As reviewers have posted, the pool area needs to be renovated after the rooms are completed. No fan in the bathroom, and there isn’t an ice machine found anywhere. You have to request a bucket of ice from the front desk.
One other thing, and this is nitpicking. The new bed side tables, that are polished tree stumps, have deep groves that items will fall in between (i.e earnings) which will require maintenance to retrieve. Also, Not sure about a “resort” fee for the summer season and room service “delivery” charge pegged at 22%.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would stay here again, especially for the location.
If Marriott can just address some of the minor issues, 5 Star is a possibility.More
