Anyone who has traveled to Vail over the last few years know that most properties are pretty good. However, it is rare to see a hotel that actually has the amenities and personel that would rival a top hotel found elsewhere in the world. This hotel actually does. I would consider it a boutique hotel because it is really not that big. The staff do an excellent job of helping you out and remembering who you are. The spa and work out areas are nice but not overwhelming. The standard rooms are good but you need to upgrade to at least a premium room with a large balcony to really get the view as well as the space. The fire places are a little hokey but otherwise rooms are nicely appointed. The pool on the roof is ok but don't get too excited about it. They have a SUV and driver that will provide you with transportation around the village which is a nice perk so that you don't have to walk or take the shuttle bus.
Overall you are not going to go wrong staying at this hotel. It is a very nice place and great location either in the summer or winter. The tavern is a great place to watch sports as well. Kudos go out to Landon and all the staff for taking care of us!More
