“Food and Fun”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 6, 2014

Indoors as well as outdoor the Alpenrose has comfortable table settings and attentive service. Menu choices include authentic Austrian and Bavarian dishes with fresh and ethnic ingredients. Entertainment is fun and joyous with song and Tyrolean instrumentation for all to participate or just relax and listen.

“Best Lunch in Vail”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 5, 2014

My wife & I spent a day shopping in Vail before skiing and stopped in to Alpenrose for a lite lunch. We both had several wines by the glass - I ordered the cheese platter (huge) and my wife ordered the cheese fondue - both were delicious. The service was spot on as well. Fantastic European lunch in the heart of Vail.

“A cheap trip to Austria!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2014

Enjoyed a delicious lunch here last week. The menu had so many delicious items I had trouble deciding whether to order healthy or order classic Austrian fare. I decided to order healthy but non-the-less the food was sensational. Dessert, which we ordered from take-out belongs in a class by itself...pricy but worth every penny!
If you find yourself in Vail, this is a fabulous choice of restaurant for lunch or dinner. The servers were very friendly, helpful and welcoming.

“Do not miss the desserts!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2014

In fact, stop in and choose a house-made dessert or pastry, even if you aren't in the market for a full meal or drink! We stopped in for lunch on a whim while walking around Vail Village. Had no idea what it would be like, but were delighted with friendly servers, a pleasant, open atmosphere, and well-prepared German-style luncheon fare. Prices were quite reasonable (for Vail). Desserts were fresh, coffee was strong and flavorful, and we would go back again.

“Best German meal anywhere....including Germany”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 21, 2014

We started with the Farmer's Cheese plate and Fondue with Veal sausage and what a beginning! I had the duck and it was really good. A friend had the Wiener Schnitzel and another had the trout. Both were good but the Wiener Schnitzel was the better option. they have German beer, wines, Gluewine and other German drinks. After a hard day of skiing, it is nice to get a great meal!
