“European influence with delicous choices”
Reviewed January 25, 2013

Food is superb, good focused menu. Portions are ample unlike some "gourment" places where you need a magnifier to find your entree. Service is always superb with experienced servers. Tops

“truly outstanding”
Reviewed January 18, 2013

They paid very close attention to detail and personal service. Decor is very attractive, noise level was just right, food was delicious. We started with the Ahi Tuna pizza and the Ceviche Trio. Both were outstanding and elegantly presented.

Follwed with trout, Colorada lamb chops with dijon herb and venison. All were outstanding, although the lamb and venison were hands down winners.

Sommelier was very helpful in guiding us to a great bottle of wine (that said, it was also very expensive but we knew that - he did not push the expensive bottle on us)

“Waitresses that think out loud”
Reviewed January 6, 2013 via mobile

Hotel is excellent. Restaurant matches up well with the rest of vail options. Waitresses was European and thought out loud. Which would be either amusing or rude depending on your orientation.

“Class at Breakfast”
Reviewed December 13, 2012

Crab Benedict suggested by waiter William was excellent. Upscale European atmosphere inside Sonnenalp hotel. Four stars only because delicious breakfast at Ludwig's can be pricey. Service is so impeccable, to me it bordered on annoying. I wanted to enjoy without being constantly attended to. However in fairness I find this to be the usual in Vail.
