Description: Manor Vail Lodge is excited to announce that the Fitz Bar & Restaurant (formerly known as the Fitz Lounge) will be taking over the Lord Gore Restaurant. As the hotel celebrates its 50th anniversary, plans of renovating the restaurant and bar space are well underway! The new look will meld together its mountain roots of Colorado with a rustic vibe. The Fitz Bar & Restaurant will be a hip and contemporary bar & dining scene featuring comfort food elevated with locally sourced ingredients, hand-crafted cocktails, and local drafts.

From the time you enter and see the roaring flames in the fireplace on one side of the restaurant to spectacular views of the mountain on the other side, you know you've entered a very special place...very cozy, warm and intimate. The staff was exceptional, but the food was the star of the show. Everything we ordered, and we ordered a lot, was presented beautifully and tasted like perfection. Bravo to the chef! This should be your first choice for fine dining when in Vail.

We had a great dinner on a Sunday evening. We each chose to have the special dinner for $45 which included 1 appetizer, 1 salad, and 1 entree of our choice. The scallops were superb, the sweet greens were light and not too filling and the lamb was best medium rare. The food was presented like what you would expect in finer restaurants..every course had either a great sauce or great accompaniments. Chris, our server, shared some stories from South Africa, his homeland. He also made great recommendations and we were each very pleased with what we ordered. I ate here last March and had such a great meal and great service, just had to come back... And you will, too.

Visited the Lord Gore about a week ago with my family, and had a very memorable experience! The staff treated us like gold and were extremely attentive and friendly from the moment we walked through the door. It was a very intimate dining experience with the small dining area and a perfect seat by the windows with a SUPERB view of the mountain outside! All the food was delicious, and came out at the perfect times. Strongly recomment the Game Trio for any visitors that want to try something different and TASTEY! Also, best cheesecake I have tried in a long time. I strongly reccomend Lord Gore for anyone who is looking for a great food AND ambiance experience!

The restaurant is lovely, it feels cozy and warm and the staff... superb! You will fill like if Lord Gore himself invited you to dine to his home. I remember Darren or Derek (not sure if that's the name) treated us excellently. The food was awesome, Lamb Rack, Buffalo, Quail, Elk, Scallops and Burger. The dessert was amazing, we had some chocolate fudge cake and the s'mores was unbelievable...

Thanks for a lovely family dinner.

Our family had the pleasure of an intimate dining experience at the Lord Gore last Saturday night. We were welcomed by a very accomplished staff, enjoyed the floor to ceiling fireplace, beautiiful views, and equally superb food that made for a completely enjoyable dining experience. Highly reccommend the Diver Scallops, Ceasar Salad, and Rack of Lamb...all were outstanding! Creme brulee cheesecake and unique homemade ice cream selection was the perfect finish to a very memorable night.
