“Very Pricey, but excellent service and great food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 2, 2011

We were there over the Feb school vacation. We've been there before. The bread they give you at the table was excellent and the butter was sweetened with xsugar, rather nice. Service was fast and excellent. We ordered the fried Calamari and it came with 2 sauces, just really great and plenty of it too. I had a glass of wine, my husband a martini. 2 of us had the swordfish like swordfish from Hawaii, much milder and not as gamey as regular swordfish, it was excellent and came with 3 sauces to go with it. The potato's were red bliss cut in 1/2 so not many maybe 2 whole potatoes, rather small and the veggie was a mix and not much either. For $36 a plate they could have given you more starch and veg. My daughters Ceasar salad (no chicken) was small for $10, you get a bigger portion at the 99 restaurant and wasn't anything to write home about. My husband got the tuna, with sticky rice with sesame seeds and veggie and his was an excellent piece of fish as well. The fish was fresh and excellent, the service was great too. Just thought they could up the portion on the starch and veg for the amount of money you pay for the fish. We didn't get dessert and the bill for 4 of us with tip was $180. Not cheap but we knew that going in. Not a huge menu either.

“Terrific atmosphere and food!”

Casual or romantic. Great food. The Tuna steak was a specialty of theirs and it was delicious. Not a bad wine selection. Good service and it should be ranked higher. Open late and we appreciated that a lot.

“Excellent seafood”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 15, 2011

We visited Montauk while staying in Vail for a 10 day skiing holiday. Our family of three had a really good meal and service was good. Mac cheese with lobster as a starter was very good but filling. Pan seared Ahi was also good as was the lobster. Coffee was cold and had to be sent back but otherwise would definitely recommend eating here.

“One of our top choices in Vail”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 24, 2010

Nice service. Fresh fish, always tasty. They also have a great kids menu. Have one of the best Bloody Marys as well. This is always a stop for us when we are in Vail. Cannot figure out why it is ranked this low.

“Really good seafood. Wonder why it's ranked so low in popularity?”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 12, 2010

I dont get it? How does Trip Advisor do it's popularity ranking? There are plenty of reviews and all very positive with 4-5 stars and yet it's only #67 out of 81 restaurants. My husband and I ate here last week and the seafood was delicious, simply prepared and fresh tasting. Service was very professional. Oh well.
