Description: Just across the Covered Bridge in Vail Village is Bridge Street's warm, cozy and oldest steak house - Russell's. We have a friendly, relaxing atmosphere with wonderful Creekside dining. Russell's features dry aged Certified Angus beef, along with delightful fish entrees and world-renowned Alaskan King Crab Legs. One side dish that you can't pass up is our scalloped potatoes - baked with onions, bacon and cheese with a golden brown top. A lot of our staff members have been with us for 20 years or more. Come by and see for yourself why the locals and staff love Russell's. We take great pride in serving premier steaks and seafood in the most enjoyable and accommodating restaurant in Vail. Reservations recommended.

Very nice steakhouse right in the village, next to the creek. A very attentive staff and a nice view of the river and surrounding shops. They open up the large sliding windows in the main dinning area in summer for a beautiful evening outdoor atmosphere. Food was great, had the steak and wife had swordfish, both skillfully prepared and tasteful. Also, given it was summer and the low season, a nice 25% the tab discount that evening was welcome! A fine dining experience.

Great steaks and sides. The service is very good. Our waiter was very attentive to all of his tables, which included one very fussy, loud party with a young child. The restaurant is very crowded, attesting to its popularity, but the noise level is very high. It's best for large groups that may want to drink a lot and won't care about the noise.

We went to Russell's for dinner and had the best steaks. I was skeptical at first as all the steaks one the menu were listed with some kind of sauce, like Peppercorn or Bearnaise. Being from Texas I was taught if a steak has to have sauce on it, then the steak was not good quality but this restaurant taught me otherwise. The steak were fantastic and the sauce was a flavor enhancing compliment. I had the Filet with Peppercorn sauce and it was melt in your mouth delicious. Our server suggested a excellent red wine to compliment out steak. The atmosphere inside was bland and dark, however we sat by the window which over looked the steam and it was lovely.

I visit Vail every year and always eat at Russell's. The food is excellent and the service attentive without being intrusive. What I particularly like is the ambience. There is a pleasant friendly atmosphere with a gentle buzz. What is thankfully missing are the over the top loud mouthed diners that shout at each other and spoil the occasion for others. There are sadly other restaurants in Vail where this sort of unwanted behaviour is seemingly tolerated eg Montauk.

As a party of six we dined well at reasonable prices. We were very happy with the overall experience and the friendly approach of the manager and his staff. We will return!

Russell's is a lovely place to have dinner in Vail Village. Our waiter Kent was super friendly, and provided excellent service. Several in our party had the prime rib, and they said it was delicious. I and another member of our party split a ribeye steak; very tasty as well. Kent made sure it was cut in half and that we each got sides as well. The meal arrived quickly, but we never felt rushed to get out of the restaurant. I would definitely recommend Russell's if you're visiting Vail.
