“Summer in vail”
Reviewed August 5, 2014

The weather was perfect so we decided to eat at the patio outside. Great for people watching.
Their wine list was limited but really good.we had the chicken salad, hamburger, salmon salad ,the pork sandwich on panini and I had the lamb sandwich.
The best was the salmon cooked perfectly. The pork also was delicious,
The lamb was the only disappointment, too well done and not hot.
The French fries were yummy.
We will be back on our next visit

“Innovative Cuisine”
Reviewed August 5, 2014

Long lines, reservations a must, but the food and presentation were well worth the line. Comfortable, outside seating area with service outstanding without being intrusive. Food was innovative, creative and 5-star!

“The wine!”
Reviewed August 3, 2014

All the dishes were amazing. The lamb and duck were big hits. Atmosphere is comfortable and nice without being too pretentious. The sommelier is very informed and offered us a bottle that would change our lives...We will be back!

The management, the cook, or both, must have changed recently. My husband and I used to love to drive up to Sweet Basil for lunch once or twice every summer, from Evergreen. We reserved a table a week in advance, at our favorite area in the back, to find no table reserved. The menu was a disappointment. Not as exciting or as eclectic as it used to be. My husband ended up ordering a burger. When I asked our Waiter if the Salmon Crudo was served like Lox, he said, 'No, it's served like Ceviche'. It arrived, served like Lox, in thin slivers on a plate. This restaurant is no longer worth the drive to Vail. Denver has better restaurants.
