Went here on recommendation by several people and it was very good! I am not the "fine dining" type but this was a lovely dinner. Very unique choices for food and our table loved everything we ordered. Our server was EXCELLENT and really made it a wonderful evening. Food is definitely pricy but it goes with the type of restaurant it is. If you are looking for fine dining and unique recipes versus your average steak, this is a really nice place. While it would only be a special occassion type of place for me, it really fits the Vail scene and I think the staff made you feel very welcome.

Its a shame all the effort that many people; Cheff, owner and all people are doing in the kitchen that waiters screw up with bad attention, just because im not a ROCK STAR , or a Vail Public relation guy. (Vail relations guys where in the next table, so they where so busy attending them)

If.... they can improve the service, it will become one of the best restaurants in Vail, you have too much to learn from the restaurant in San sebastian hotel.

About the dishes and food, is really impressive and delicious, they even have a good coffee. is excellent located close to the Lifter 1. but a bad service its a bad condiment for an excellent food.

Fine dining in Vail w/out pretentiousness. The service at Sweet Basil stands out. The waitstaff was friendly, informative, and very attentive.

The meal was refreshing and the ingredients were fresh. The beet salad was lovely to start. For the main course I had the tortellini and while it was good, I wouldn't necessarily order that dish again. Husband had the cod and it was absolutely divine. The carrots that came with the cod were amazing! We also had a side of root vegetables that were seasoned to perfection. Didn't have room for dessert, but the dessert menu looked as tempting as the rest of the menu.

Looking forward to going back the next time we are in Vail!

Really interesting menu. I had the special -- the beet gnocchi! Not beef, beet! I'd never even thought about beet gnocchi and it was delicious. Friends had other unique and very tasty dishes as well. The restaurant has what looks like it could be a really nice front porch/patio right off Vail Village's pedestrian road -- it was a nice day but they weren't offering service outside and the area looked a bit unkempt. We almost passed the restaurant up, which would have been a shame, because of the lack of "curb appeal" but decided to go in anyway after pulling down reviews on Trip Advisor and Yelp. We are glad we did.

Good stuff. Not really amazing. I feel that everything on the desert menu had bread in it. Well, if you are watching your girlish figure you might want a nice desert that doesn't have bread in it. If you don't want bread then you have to have cream. If you are lactose intolerant, you might be in trouble.
