To be kind the Larkspur experience is uneven at best. From the minute you sit down at your table you are inundated with the wait staff serenading you with how wonderful and well reviewed some of their signature dishes are. So, as suggested we ordered the famous Caesar salad and top of the line steak. We were promised an interesting dressing with a well-balanced assortment of flavors accented with their signature potato and onion baked croutons and the finest cut of meat you could buy. We received a completely bland gelatinous dressing with mushy flavorless tator tots. The steak was cooked wrong and had a strange processed taste. This delightful dinner was finished off with their signature coffee made from beans they roast and grind themselves. It was basically dirty water that was undrinkable. However, to be fair, the bread was good and the cocktails were mixed well. So in summary, if you want a similar food experience save some money and eat at the local food cart near the bus station.

We were very happy with our Saturday night dining choice. We almost diverted to a less formal space but chose to keep our 7 pm reservation.
Great evening with very attentive service. Excellent wine selection and quite a few good bottles in the mid $40 range we had a lovely 2010 Cote du Rhone for 45$
The highlight was our appetizer, a very rare Iberico jambon. Made the evening. Other excellent items were the diver scallops and tuna crudite.

We were recently there for dinner based on a recommendation from a friend who had just been there. We were seated outside the open kitchen which was great entertainment to watch them all work. The service was top notch, as was the food. Some of our dinner items included oysters on the half shell, Casear salad, potage soup, Char, steak, lamb and the prawns. All were delicious! We will definitely go back next time we visit Vail.

Great looking restaurant. My main was very good. My wife wasn't too excited about her fish. Thought it was bland. The sommelier made up for the non existent wait staff. He came by lots of times and was very interesting. He picked out an amazing wine for us from Argentina.

We've eaten at this restaurant every time we're in the area. After walking through a very strange entry, it opens to a very nice bar and restaurant. The food has always been excellent. This time was not exception. We had the 41 oz Prime Cowboy Steak...yes, 41 ounces, cooked to perfection. We split it between three people and still took some home. Wines are numerous and pricey, but great selection. Definitely worth the trip for a very nice evening out.

Thank you very much for your kind review, we are thrilled to hear about your good experience and appreciative of the comments regarding the Tomahawk, it's a tough job taste testing beef, but hopefully we have found a product that we can be proud to serve for a long time!
