Nice place to stay for affordable prices during the skiing off season. 1B/1B condo style accommodation was very nice. Kitchen was well stocked. Nice living room area. VERY comfortable bed. X-box 360 and DVD player in room and games/movies available at no charge to use. Nice pool/hot tubs. Friendly staff. Would stay here again.

Room Tip: a room on the ground level would be nice if you had a lot of luggage (no elevators)

Although we've been to Colorado several times before, this is the first time we stayed in Vail. We traded in for a 2B/2B at the Eagle Point Resort. Knowing that many resorts of this sort get lots of use and that some are getting rather old, we weren't expecting the Ritz. We were pleasantly surprised at our accommodations!

The unit had recently been updated with new counters, cabinets, and baths. The kitchen was complete with stove and oven and was furnished with every bowl or utensil you'd ever need. Coffee, creamer, and sweetener were set alongside the coffee maker, and they served hot coffee and tea every day in the lobby. The resort also provided large bottles of dish soap, hand soap, shower gel, shampoo, and body lotion. Very nice! There was a large flat screen TV in the living room and bedrooms and dvd's to check out from the front desk. WiFi was accessible and free in the room and I had no problem connecting. There is a small pool that families with kids seemed to enjoy.

Two other things that make it or break it for us are cleanliness and bedding. The unit was very clean and we found the beds to be very comfortable. There were extra blankets and more than enough towels and wash cloths.

The resort is about 2 miles east of downtown Vail and there are no elevators to reach the 2nd and 3rd floor, but we didn't find that to be enough of an issue not to recommend this place.

If you're looking for an affordable, clean, and comfortable place to stay in Vail, you might want to give Eagle Point Resort a try. We would definitely go back.

For out purposes this was an ideal location. Near to the town of Vail and central to the many attractions that we enjoyed in the area. The accomadations were clean and comfortable. Everything about Eagle Point was enhanced by the friendly staff who went out of their way with suggestions about area attractions. We were there in June 2012 and enjoyed every hour ot that week

When you first set eyes on Eagle Point Resort it looks very average, but inside the lobby and the units things were very nicely decorated and comfortable. The front desk personnel were nice and helpful. The resort is in West Vail so if you want to go to Vail village or Lionshead you have to drive about 3-5 minutes down the rode or take the bus (in Vail they have a free bus system). The bus stop is a block away. The parking is free in Vail village and Lionshead in the summer. The grounds are well taken care of and the pool and jacuzzis are well maintained. They have three grills and picnic tables to enjoy a nice dinner outside. If you go in the summer they do not have A/C but it was not a big deal as the temperature did not get above 70 degrees. They also do not have an elevator so if you are on the third floor pack light. The resort has a deal for bike rentals with Charter sports on Wednesdays in Cascade Willage about two blocks away if you take the back way. It was good to bike ride on the Gore Valley trail from the resort into East Vail. Gore Creek runs next to the resort so it was nice to sit and relax on the boulder at the entrance to the parking lot and watch the water go by. Overall a nice stay for the week.

Room Tip: Get room on first or second floor especially if you come from the part of the country where you live at sea level and you have heavy luggage.

Recently my wife and I spent 5 days at the Eagle Point Resort in Vail Colorado. It was the closing weekend for the ski area and there were lots of things going on throughout Vail.

The Eagle Point Resort is located in west Vail and requires you either drive into town, or take their free shuttle bus to Lion’s Head and then take the free public transportation further into the heart of Vail. The bus runs fairly frequently but is not the most convenient way to get into and out of the town and I would recommend that you plan to drive. Plan to pay for parking during the ski season; it’s free in the summer time.

The accommodations are average for a ski town and I would not call them luxurious by any stretch. However, they are good value for money particularly when compared with the generally expensive lodging throughout Vail. The rooms are not as quiet as a previous writer has said, particularly when the guests above you and around you are children. AND, the close proximity to I-70 means that highway noise is very loud. The unit we stayed in was not air conditioned so in the summer you will need to sleep with the widow open and the highway noise will be a problem for all but the soundest sleepers.

If your primary consideration is reasonably priced accommodations (and you're a sound sleeper) in what is otherwise pricy Vail Colorado, I can recommend the Eagle Point Resort.
