My husband and I stayed here for our 1 year anniversary and from the moment we walked in the door we were greeted by a friendly and welcoming staff! The hotel shows its age but I thought they did a nice job with the upgrades. It was a little disappointing there was no a/c but the nights cooled off and we spent little time in the room during the day. The location was fabulous! We were able to walk out the hotel doors to shopping and food. Once the new gondola is finished the location will be even better. Overall, our stay was very enjoyable and the value was great...especially for Vail!

Room Tip: If you're traveling for a special occasion, ask for a room upgrade. Front desk was very accommod...

First time at this property and can hardly wait to go back. The location is perfect, the staff was perfect. The facility may be a little dated but the furnishings make up for it. Having Elway’s on site for dinner was a bonus

This hotel was a bit of a disappointment. The location was great but, the rooms- ugh! We stayed in a 2 bedroom condo it was hot, no a/c and the bathroom located right next to the front door smelled like sewage. I had to go out and buy a candle to curb the smell. The floors turned my white socks brown they were so dirty. We had 4 fans going in our room and there was just no air. 2 windows in the upstairs were cranked open as wide as they could go but not even a whisper of a breeze. Kind of felt like I was back a girl scout camp sweating my behind off.
2 strong points- great front desk/valet/maintenance(broken tvs) and Elways restaurant attached to the hotel was quite good.

Room Tip: In summer request rooms with a/c or fans available. Rooms over the pool area are loud.

The rooms are dated and this is no 5 star property. Probably not quite a 4 star, but for the money this place is incredible. Search the internet for deals, priceline even works for this place. If you book direct you will pay way too much.

It is centrally located in Vail village. You get use of the adjacent Spa with your booking. That is a nice gym and small pool with 2 good size hot tubs. People pay to be members of the spa and for use during their vacation but booking a room here grants you access. Pretty sweet deal made even sweeter when you find out the hot tubs have direct views of Pepi's Face (if you dont know..this is a steep wind swept face the many a beginner try to take down to the village at day's end. Watching people fail, slide, and tumble down is an amazing way to end the day..especially from a hut tub, beer in hand.)

The giant fireplaces are nice (one inside, one outside) and there are some nice touches like free water with lemons as you exit the rear en route to the lift. If you are easy going but demand a little comfort, this place is perfect. Its expensive enough that you wont find college kids running around but it is no four seasons by any stretch.

Tip: get breakfast from the little cart right outside. Their burritos are amazing and portable.

Great locations, many rooms are tired, vast difference in nature of rooms. You should request a specific room if possible. Rooms around the pool are very tired. Helpful staff, great breakfast. But clearly the location is the best part. Probably, overpriced considering variability of rooms

We really enjoyed our stay at The Lodge. Great location, as it was only steps away from outstanding restaurants, shopping and the all important, Vista Bahn chair lift. We found very clean and modern rooms that were well lit and spacious. I can't say enough about how warm and friendly the staff was. Everyone from the restaurant, to housekeeping, to valet service, greeted us a smile and wished us a good day. We were especially impressed with the front desk. They helped with lift tickets, ski rentals, and made excellent restaurant suggestions.

I would highly recommend this close to the slopes lodge to anyone looking to enjoy a quiet nights stay, that's close to all of the action in Vail. We will definitely come again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Lodge. The room was a nice size and even had a balcony. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is hard to believe the lodge in right in the middle of everything and yet is quiet and peaceful. It is close to the ski lifts and all the shops and restaurants. The fire pit is a nice place to relax in the afternoon. Highly recommend this place.
