At age 73, I had the pleasure of having my daughter fulfill a bucket list dream of fly-fishing on the Colorado River. She chose Sage Adventures to supply the raft, equipment and guide. The trip was thrilling and the scenery was breathtaking. Thanks to Colin, our guide, I actually caught 6 trout and landed 4 . He was very patient with me (a novice) and taught me the many different aspects of fly-fishing. Colin was also knowledgeable about the history of the area we visited. I highly recommend the experience I had with Colin at Sage.
John, we're so happy that we could help you check that dream off of your bucket list. We truly enjoyed having you as a guest, and hope to see you back again soon!
This was a great adventure. Our guide was highly skilled and the weather turned out beautiful. The guide provided history about the areas we rafters. The safety issues were addressed prior to our trip and we were given lessons in rafting. Exciting enough and relaxing enough. Food was incredible. The views are amazing. Don't miss this adventure! We can't wait to go back and go again as well as trying the other adventures they offer. Do it!
We now have a Rocky Mountain high:-).
We did the 2.5 hour Maverick tour with Jimmy, and it was awesome! The Mavericks are a lot of fun, and Jimmy was a great guide. I hope to come back to SAGE Adventures sometime and ride Snowmobiles!
Colorado mountains, falling leaves, Autumn transforming the landscape into a blanket of beautiful colors, and an ATV... what more could you ask for? Wes guided us up and down the terrain, always with a smile and an enthusiasm that was contagious. This was a breathtaking adventure, thank you Sage for making it fun!
Sage Outdoor adventures provided a great tour on side by side mavericks . Jimmy our guide was great providing lots of information about the area and wildlife and riding through a variety of terrains.
Our group of ten was quickly cleared and sent to the outfit room. Those of us completing the waiver online were just checked off. We were then introduced to our guide Jimmy who entertained us explaining how to tie your scarf (like a bandit), find the right size helmet, and wear your goggles (although prescription glasses work ok, forget the sunglasses, he says). We then headed out to our requested two seat ATV's. Before getting in we received a humorous safety lesson loaded with metaphors and stories so the lesson would stick, and it did. It was a fun, although dusty, ride through the woods and prairies of the Vail Rockies. Jimmy had us stop numerous times as need to change gears, switch drivers, or to hear a story about the area or nature (Aspen bark has the same ingredients as aspirin and prairie sage is used a soap and deodorant). The scenery was spectacular!
