August 2013: We stayed at the main property (Christiania Inn) in Vail Village.

We had a beautiful suite overlooking the "babbling creek" with a spacious "wrap-around wood deck with wrought iron picnic table and chairs. The room had a spacious front room with fire place and a very large master bedroom.

Located in the village was fantastic. Had short walks to the many nearby restaurants and shops.

The only negative part was the complimentary breakfast was "less-than-desired" and "lacking"

We loved our room and the property location so much ... we extended our stay an extra day.

We enjoyed our stay at Christiania Lodge in Vail. The rooms was cozy and the lodge is beautiful. We stayed during the summer and the lodge is in a perfect location to walk into Vail Village and explore the beauty all around. I only wished that there were air conditioning in the rooms, but besides it being a little on the warm side for us, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Gorgeous Christiania, we came from the UK twice and now from Australia. Nothing is too much, pool uncovered any time. Excellent service, spotlessly clean. Owners and staff are the very best. We would not stay anywhere else in Vail. My husband and I, have stayed in many hotels non compare to our favourite, we will be staying in 2015. It will be very hard to wait.
Yours sincerely, Mr and Mrs L J Watson.

Room Tip: Corner suites have more room, pool gorgeous. Would highly recommend The Christiana, we would never...

This is a great place to stay in my opinion. Slopeside with a ski locker room from which you walk right out to Gondola One. Doesn't have the tacky ritzy feel of the newer vail properties. We've stayed there several times and have never been disappointed.

I just stayed at Christiania Lodge in Vail, CO (room 205) and was extremely happy there. I was there for a meeting, most of which was held at the Lodge itself. The owners/staff are extremely friendly and helpful. It felt like we were at someone's home instead of some impersonal hotel. Breakfast was provided in a lovely breakfast room (complete with fireplace and views of the mountain) and was an expanded continental service. The room was wonderful. A full sitting room with tv and balcony, and its own half bath. Then the full bath, then the large bedroom with a queen bed and another tv. Lots of closet space. Lots of space to spread out. Great location in Vail Village - we walked to many fantastic restaurants. I would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: Make sure to ask for a non-basement room.

We had bought the Livingsocial. Living Social then let us knwo they made an error with the dates the deal was available for. After a lot fo going back and forth with them they made it happen and our living social deal price was honored and Living Social ate the difference. This is a cute lodge that is ski in ski out. This was our first time to Vail. The staff was very nice and friendly. The room was small but it was cozy. I will say it was a little noisy at night. Around midnight there were a lot of loud and probably drunk people walking around outside and we could hear them. Also, very early in the morning the snow removal trucks were incredibly loud and it actually shook our room! After our time on the slopes we visited the bar inside the lodge. The bar tender was nice and the regular local people were friendly. My husband used the hot tub which is like a large pool. It is outside and not covered. He said the jets were weak but it felt good after a day on the slopes. We had a wonderful time and would consider going back in the future.

I have been staying at the Christiana for many years and it never disappoints. I had not been here for several years and was so pleased that the quality of the hotel had not changed - in fact it appears as though their rooms have been redone. I booked the room on Tripadvisor and it was by far the best value in comparison to other hotels in Vail. The room was beautifully done and the king size bed was extremely comfortable. To our surprise the room had an additional twin size room attached with a separate bed, closet and sink - perfect for a small family, although my husband used it as his "man cave" for the duration of our stay. The hotel is right at the bottom of the mountain in Vail Village and is ski in/ ski out - best location! The staff are very friendly and help with the boots / skis. The hotel offers a continental breakfast for a minimal charge. If you are looking for a cute, boutique hotel with well appointed rooms at a great value this is your place!
